Whilst I see your point here, and obviously indicating (where safe to do so) is always a good thing to do, it doesn't necessarily hold in this case - a vehicle should not be attempting an overtake maneuver on the approach/entrance to a roundabout.

the guys beef with me was 'why are you cycling in the middle of the road'
i was in the middle as i was turning right. he obviously wanted to overtake while in the roundabout; probably not a big risk 99% of the time but i dont want to be put in a risky situation.

Lived in Sydney for a while, majority of the guys seemed a bit twatish. On my first day I was asked by 3 different people to have a drinking competition cos I was Irish. Girls seemed grand tho. I don’t like how society as a whole works there, it’s like a southern US state, very conservative and the lack of empathy was also prevelant.

I really can’t be arsed to go back through it, but from what I remember your kid was brought up in a “what if it was your daughter” way. Which isn’t an unfair question when you are defending a convicted rapist.

He was subsequently found not guilty on appeal, but it was more on lack of evidence than complete innocence (morally not legally).

It’s still bizarre just how sensitive you are about the whole case.
