A number of Daily Mail readers siding with the black lady...

From the Guardian...

When a black woman can stand in a bus and tell someone, without irony, to “go back to their own country” it shows how deeply embedded the hatred of Muslims has become in our society. The media, and everyone else, have a duty to do everything they can to counter it.

Almost as many, if not more, were appalled at her behaviour. Kind of heartening, that. Now never make me go to DM Online ever again!

I actually can't tell what's happening there? Looks like an Asian guy telling a black guy to go back to Turkey?

When the media and politicians keep ratcheting up the rhetoric against Islam/Muslims this is the result. Would you have even suspected that man to be a UKIP voter? You see stuff like this on YouTube, you look at all the opinion polls, you look at who won the election, you read the comments on every single news website going - this country is becoming more right wing than we've been in a long time.

Reminds me of Shelton in Stoke in the 80s/90s, the blacks (I hate that term) and Asians were always fighting each other. The area is basically a Pakistani community now.

The park there is a complete no go zone.

Can I ask? Why is the term Paki racist? I always thought it was an abbreviation, like some people say he's a Brit instead of he's British.

Paki-stan basically translates as "Pure-land" in Urdu and Persian, you think they'd find it a compliment.

Probably because of the use of the word by the far right in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Writing "PAKIS GO HOME" on walls and screaming it as abuse at people of Indian, Bangaldeshi and Sri Lankan origin also didn't help.

It's the same with the word "Yid". It's just an abbreviation of Yiddish but people used it to abuse Jewish people over the years and it therefore becomes a racist term.
