I take it they've stopped giving you the medication now, then, Stu? You know. To keep the voices quiet. The 'funny' voices. The 'funny' voices that tell you to do bad things...

I fail to see how anyone can ever get 'offended' by Stu's posts. He's the gentlest soul on these boards, apart from maybe PeterCrisp...

The problem is that you take offence as soon as anyone says anything other than positive things about the PS3. I bought a PS3 only last week (with MGS4 and Everbody's Golf) and I still think the machine has many many problems and I will point them out. Thats not because I'm a 360 fanboy it's just because I have an opinion.

What can one expect from someone whose name is "consolegaming", it's like admitting to have never played a strategy game or thinking too hard.

I think it would be very easy to read too much into this. There will potentially have been hundreds of ideas or visions for the game that have been scaled back between conception and implementation, and I can guarantee that the limitations of the PS3 will have contributed toward some of the ideas "removed".

It's just the way things work - you start out thinking big and then have to trim your vision down based on the hardware you have available. I'm sure Carmack or Willits could make an equal comment about some feature or content that was removed or altered as a result of the PS3 as well.

Unless you want every company to release a list of all the features that were cut from a multi-format game, and the console whose limitations were the cause of the cut, I fail to see how any information like this can be used as ammunition for some petty "format war".

MS have seen the shortcomings in the DVD format and have opened up the system for installing to HDD so with the upgrade to the OS so you can install it all to your drive anyway like a PC so devs can stop moaning about it. You are only limited if you have a core and no HDD which I doubt the people interested in Rage will have as it strikes a hardcore gamer cord to me.

It's cocktail time!. Then again when isn't it.

No with the pissy 20GB (18gb usable) hard-drive in premiums you're not!

They should have loosened the royalties and let iD publish on 4 discs, and this wouldn't be a problem.

Someone has to speak up in this console loving forum.

Someone has to say NO to paying for DLC, and NO to using a joypad for an FPS.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Why are Microsoft being so silly? They can take a hit in small profits, they should be helping iD who have been in the industry for so long. It's not even an Xbox 360 limitation since it can be solved with an extra DVD, all they have to do is lower the royalty on the third DVD.

There is no "loyalty" to 360, just laughter at desperate PS3 fanboyism.

I've hardly seen any PS3 fanboyism on here though.

You have met our resident PS3 fanboy consolegaming, yes?

Since his first words (in the third post of this thread, don't forget) were, "It is a refreshing change to see a negative 360 article for once," and he just carried on from there, it's hardly a surprise to see forumites arguing with him. As I said above: that's not "loyalty" to 360, it's laughter at desperate PS3 fanboyism.

But what he says is 100% true, This forum and the Gamesradar forum were/are biased towards 360, as this thread shows the 360 boys are in denial, trying to make excuses, if it was the other way round, it would be 'PS3 ' 'Good Media Centre ' 'Sony  '

Eighthours, why do you always have a 'safe' opinion, I can't remember you ever being contrary to popular opinion about anything in games, ever

Because you can't make exceptions, every developer has to be treated the same.

I use a PC to game and have to pay just to play one game, Not the many many you get the choice with Xbox ;)

Anyhow we have the Xbox is broken thread which is kind of a massive attack on Xbox (which they deserve)Quite shoucking that now its also running out of space, though how big is Rage going to be? I mean GTA4 was pretty Huge and that fits on 1 dvd.

Actually I am tempted to rage on against the cost of Live and how much I wasted on it, but that would derail this thread.

When I get back from work I will screenshot my steam games list. Then we will see who has "choice".

They should lower it for everyone then. Anything that deters a developer from realising their full concept should be avoided as much as possible within reasonable realms.

Profit margins?

It's the software what makes the money afterall.
