Best ones we came across where these

Pelt Trader - Near Cannon Street Station
Euston Tap - One of the pillars outside Euston Station
The Rake - Near Waterloo Station, edge of Borough Market
The Craft Beer Co. - There is one on the edge of Camden and one by Covent Garden
The Harp - Near Charing Cross Station
The pub on charing cross station next to Burger King, I forget the name - Charing Cross
Brew Dog - Camden

The best of them where BrewDog, Euston Tap, Pelt Trader and The Rake

The Rake looks gooseberry fool but they have a small but brilliant selection and a load of bottles. Had a lovely cherry sour there last time.

They have just changed things at BrewDog now too so that you don't have to cram up to the bar you can just sit down and they will serve you at tables, and if you have a designated driver let them know and you get a 20% (I think it may be 10) discount on soft drinks for them.

Yeah I'm a fan of Euston Tap. So very, very small though.

Got back from Amsterdam recently and went to brouwerij 't ij (the brewery by the windmill). Really tasty beers, so I treated myself to their beer selection for 11 euros for 6

Regarding Crafty Dan beers, I too got a boxset for my birthday last month. Whilst the 13 Guns was relatively nice but as mentioned nothing special, I really enjoyed the other 2 in the set. The Triple C Golden Ale really hit the spot, and Big Ben Brown Ale was a pleasant surprise as I'm not the biggest Brown Ale fan.

If you are in Camden then the Southampton Arms in Kentish Town (1 stop further up the Northern Line) is pretty good for ales. Quite small but a good selection and the staff know their stuff.

It's just up the road from where I work, but saying that I don't actually go there too often.

I'm tempted to get one of those home brewing kits. Anyone have any experience with them? Looks fun, but also kinda complicated :dread: . If they work well it looks like pretty damn good value. I have a dark basement which I assume would be perfect for it.

A bit of throwaway fun in my experience. Don't go expecting miracle flavours!

Not that fun when you are left wirh fifty pints of an avearge beer that needs to be drunk in a fortnight.

I guess some might see that as a good thing though! :datass:

Brew a batch in advance of a party and make it the subject of conversation at said party. I'll level with you, most will lay into it verbally, but will still drink the lot :)

BrewDog have released one that I am hoping will come to their site soon so I can get one.

At some point I want to build a proper brew kit in my shed but need the £750 to build it all :D

Why do you say you need to drink it in a fortnight? Surely once bottled they should last a little while, no?

I'll look a bit more into it. Might be a fun little thing to try but I'll look for one that seems to get consistently high reviews for taste. Don't want one that just ends up tasting like an overly hoppy mess.

Yeah if bottled it will last a while, if in those keg things it wont. Take a look at the Brooklyn Brew Shop kits they are meant to be really good.

That's the exact one I'm looking at :D Lots of interesting flavours too like Jalepeno Saison. Although I'd probably go for a more standard flavour to begin with like an IPA.

I saw that one and was tempted. I do like me a Saison the worry is that the Jalapeños will be too much.

Exactly my thinking.

I'd certainly design my own labels should I make some beer 8-)

Exactly. Bottle it after its secondary ferment and it will keep.

A lot of faff though. It's a laugh making your own beer, but it really is best left to the pros outside the novelty!

Has someone at Brewdog been learning how to make beer? That's good to hear.

They are, they got very lucky but I'm glad they did as they have some cracking beers.
