Brewdog are decent enough. Not my favourite but better than a lot out there. I notice they have new labels. Have they got rid of their "we are anti establishment" gooseberry fool on them?

Just tried the new(ish) Guinness Dublin Porter. I'm not a huge fan of Guinness but I rather like this. Not tried the West Indies but will certainly try it now. Nice caramel taste. Wouldn't say I'd have more than one at a time, but it's nice for a comforting Sunday brew.

Nigerian Guinness is my favourite. Tastes like blackcurrant.

I just had a Scrum Diggity tonight.

http://www.goddardsbrewery.com/beer/our-beer#

Not tried them before but was a lovely pint.. Bit spoilt around here (I'm on the outskirts of Southampton on the New Forest side) as we have Ringwood and Badger beers in most of the New Forest pubs.

Ringwood Best and Forty Niner are probably my faves. Doom Bar from Cornwall is also on my top 5 list...

I find smog rocket to not be smoky enough, it has a rarer big brother though that I found to be much much better calls Lord Smog Almighty.

Another one of theirs to look for is the 8 Ball Rye IPA, that stuff is gooood.

Not seen that but I found the one I had quite smokey. If it were smokier I fear it would just like beer mixed with bbq sauce.

All the other flavours are a bit boosted too but it isn't too bad, some of the German smoked beers are oober smokey you can smell bonfire sort of smell on your fingers and you get a similar sensation in the mouth that you get when sit next to a smokey bonfire.

I quite like it as a style it is a shame there aren't more of them easily available.

I tend to be quite stingy with beers so would only really pay up to about £3.50 for a bottle if I'm feeling like making it rain. That one has a box some I'm expecting it's more? Might give it a try though if I see it around.

Had a few beers that were being given out at work that were returned from customers. Had a BERN STEIN which was quite a pleasant amber. Also had a Sadlers Worecester Wizard (I think) which was rather tasty. Lovely golden colour with nice citrus flavours.

Also got a Montezuma chocolate beer which I'm yet to try. I quite like the Mean Time chocolate porter so interested to know what this is like. Dessert beers seem to be cropping up more and more.

hahah yeah it is a fair bit more, I think I got it for £12.50 a bottle when I had it.

I'm happy to pay what ever for a bottle as long as it is a brewery I know to be good. I have a bottle of Burning Sky Monolith at home at the moment that is about £16 a bottle but it is good until 2020 so will keep.

My all time favourite beer is about £15 for a 330ml bottle, but it is from Oklahoma and will keep for upwards of 10 years so again worth it.

Had the Hogback Montezuma chocolate lager yesterday. Smelt lovely when I opened the bottle. Really deep, rich chocolate aroma. Taste wise it was pleasant. Chocolaty and a little nutty. I wouldn't pay for it, but it was a nice change of pace. It's quite interesting how chocolate and beer can pair well.

Good plan, if you get a chance go to Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese on fleet street, they don't have the most amazing craft beers in the world but the pub is brilliant.

It's Samuel Smith who own the pub, they have quite a few pubs in London as well as the North. Decent prices on most of their stuff (For London anyway)

My local brewery too. Good stuff.

Have you tried any Siren Brew Craft, based in Finchampstead? Their core beers are ace, and they do some great specials (limoncello etc). They've got a brewery party on the 7th as it happens.

There are the London based breweries around Bermondsey, including probably my fave Kernel.
