Real Life Situation: What do I do?

First off.. i'll get it out the way and say I've been drinking tonight. That doesn't excuse my spelling and grammar though, I'm on an Ipad here!

I'm in Australia and in order to get a second year visa, I have to do 3 moths rural work to qualify for a second year. Having no experience, I'm incredibly gooseberry fool but fortunately i work for a good family farm but they and their workers clearly think im a bit of a dick because im so bad. Fair enough, theyre friendly and decent people.

Tonight it was one of their son's birthday party out at he farm. I got dropped off back at town (population 2000). I made the mistake of seeing a party 4 houses down and across the road. I picked p a couple of beers and went to say hello. Everyone, as planned,was great. I was the token english (pommy as they call us) and they loved it. I was their for nothing but to extend my tipsy evening and make local friends.

next thing some small dude comes out and tells me to get off the property (by this time it was some chavvy 26 year old with a kid in bed and a lost cat.

A bit underwhelmed at this new inhospitability i thought,mill go and leave them to it. But as im leaving this guy keeps pushing me for no reason so squared up to him (im a bit taller and a lot stockier than him) Next thing I know ive had 3 or 4 punches at my face and his are holding me back. Afterwards a middle aged woman and young kid come out in shocj at my face and want to take me home.

Im tired, gonna fall asleeo but will continue the morning. Sore head, but it gets more juicy. I tried calling the police but theyre not here until 2pm tomorrow. Should i leave it, found out this prrick is or find him and commit murder

Best thing to do? Just leave it. Chalk it up to too much drink on both sides and forget about it.

Don't take matters into your own hands. Report him to the police.

Serves you right. It is what you get by making a horrible life choice by going to Australia. This wouldn't happen if you just went to NZ, we are actually friendly and don't have "chavs" or whatever they are.

Question! How does one from England get to live in NZ?

Is it a case of applying for jobs and if you get accepted move over & live or is there a program which makes it easy.... seems like hard work if you don't have loads of cashdollars. Would love to live in NZ, can you give me any advice? (:
