I'm looking into getting a netbook in a few weeks. It must have Windows 7 and at least a 7 hour battery life.

I've heard Samsung are good.

Any recommendations? Looking to spend £300 max if possible.

Would you be willing to install Win 7 yourself?

The best ones are either an ASUS EEEPC (of which there are gooseberry fool loads) or a Samsung NC[insert some numbers here].

I've got an EEE PC 1005HA.

It's pretty good.

I imagine it will cost more than £300 then, I may be wrong.

Picked up a Samsung NC140 from Comet the other week, Windows 7 (Starter Edition... :fp: ) installed. £330.

S'nice. Mainly sue it for delivering seminars/lectures at work, and it does the job just fine. Battery life is immense too.

So it's unlikely I'll get a non-Starter edition Windows 7 netbook for less than £300?

Fair enough. I'll reconsider my options. Thanks guys. :)
