Can someone tell me which photoshop version/edition is decent as I've had a look on ebay but there's loads of different versions.

C3 I'm sure is the latest version and it normally helps to have the most up to date version for support etc.

I'm a devote CS1 user. I'm sure I could move up to CS2/3/4... but I'm familiar with 1 and it's easy to use, so why change?

Grab the CS4 suite off your favourite "free software" site.

Why use outdated tech?

CS4. By the way, we're all laughing because Ebay copies will be pirate, and you can get those for free.
