I was semi interested in this, especially at the low end price. If I had some free time to play it I would have probably picked it up even with those reviews.

Having just given up on Sunset Overdrive, which I really wasn't getting on with, I was looking forward to this, but the kind of things the reviews are reporting as frustrations would do my head in. Preorder cancelled.

Judging by the review more like Microsoft's Knack

I enjoyed Knack. Is there a PC demo for this?

Yes?

Bargain price there, does it also come with Nuts N Bolts? £27 on Shopto and was despatched earlier today. Hope it comes tomorrow, managed to get the day off due to feeling like shite and my daughter being sick..

Amazon are still charging £28 for the physical version with nuts and bolts and haven't dispatched yet.
Sort of tempted to cancel and pay £2 more for the combined Xbox/windows code though, but the lacklustre reviews are a bit off-putting when it comes to going digital with this.

i find it quite bizarre that this is a new IP from MS and yet its not on the featured list of the store on Xbox mobile app.

i read a few reviews where they actually complain that the game is to long. :fp:

you could always watch a few streams and see if its the type of game you would like to play?

From what I've seen it looks like something I'll like, I'm just not sure if it was something I might trade in.

Stuck with my Xbox one physical order in the end.
Can always double dip on PC if I love it and it goes cheap, or trade in for the dual code.

I presume the 'store' may have been down, try again, an error doesnt meant the code is wrong, also did you get it in message or do you have a hard copy? if got in a message you can just select it to work from there.

Perfectly valid criticism. It runs out of ideas in the second half and resorts to obvious padding, not to mention cheap difficulty spikes.

Lots here to like, but this could have been a minor classic rather than interesting but flawed.

Played the first part and enjoying it so far, though the extract mechanic seems a bit wonky. It snaps when white rather than red. Indeed up on the right stick when it turns red, as the game tells you to, then it just snaps anyway.

Red is your warning to start easing up - I find you've got a second or so's grace, and if you've almost reeled it in you can briefly let go and pull sharply again and you'll yank it out. And the line snaps if you're hit by anything while pulling. It doesn't really make that clear, but after struggling to get it to work consistently I'm extracting every time I want to (it doesn't make sense to do it if you're surrounded at the time, obv, and sometimes it pays to just blast them into pieces instead).
