Well at least that removes the one game I was going to buy this year, gives me something to look forward to next year.

Typical that there's no PC announcement/release date. Standard Rockstar there.

Spring 2019 for the PC version.

Looks fantastic, but 2018 is a long way to go though.

Prediction: RDR remastered for November. (And new RDR 2 footage, obviously.)

I think LA Noire remaster filled the void for them, also no remaster has come out after an X1 back compat version of the same game apart from Assasins Creed stuff as far as I know.

Halos, Bioshocks, Sleeping dogs, Borderlands and Gears 1 all had remasters before they hit back compat and lots of games that have remasters haven't greenlit back compat versions of the same game. The fact RDR was greenlit and LA Noire wasn't is telling, also Rockstar patched GTA IV specifically for it to run better on X1 with a frame pacing issue, so its not like they don't know about it.

I heard they really like money, too. RDR remaster would make them a lot of it. But hey, they released a patch for X1 so there goes all that money. Who's going to want a multiplat RDR remaster/PC release now?!

I'll leave it at that. Cba turning this into a *thing*.

Jesus, easy on the salt, I was just explaining my reasons why I thought it wouldn't happen and so far was proved right. Settle down.

My brain not seeing the UI made me thing they hadn't done it, have they before release? Anyways, you're triggered AF so I'll leave it at that. ;)

RDR is still my favourite R* game. I'll be picking RDR 2 up for Pro. Not going to wait around for a PC version.

In terms of gameplay (mechanics, variety, longevity), I have to put GTA5 at the top of Rockstar tree. It's utterly peerless and the absolute peak of their powers.

In terms of setting though, it's a dead-tie between RDR and Vice City

I think it's the setting that grabs me combined with many fond memories of my weekends as a kid being allowed to stay up with Dad and watch classic westerns. The Outlaw Josey Wales, Pale Rider, Valdes is Coming etc.

Great movie that's often overlooked. My father's favourite Western and definitely in my personal top ten.
