Unless it means there is limited stock at launch, which is something that's been mooted as a possibility.
Why would having 2 disks limit stock? They can print disks by the million now with consummate ease we aren't in 1993 any more.
I don't know, you are doubling the number of discs you need to write for each game and they've obviously got different content on each disc. It's got to make it at least a little more complicated to produce.
They might be able to print disc by the million, but they'll need more than that to meet demand at launch I think worldwide.
EDIT: It's actually not confirmed that the "RDR2" section above is limited to just that section. Very possible that the RDR1 map is also part of this game!

That footage is quite impressive. I was going to wait till I wake up friday to play it but I know now I won't be able to resist playing this at midnight Thursday.

So the brown square is the only confirmed part of the map that has been leaked yet. It was from someone that has obviously not played much of the game and hasn't visited everywhere so has large "fog of war" areas.
Someone has overlayed that with a leaked map from a year ago, and the RDR1 map.
It is very likely that the "full" RDR2 map includes the entire RDR1 map as well as the new areas, I reckon.
