The one in the burnt out town south of camp. Limpney or something, it's called.

And that one has a glitch that enables you to get infinite gold bars, 30 at a time.

Completely kills the need to make money by other means, but makes the game more focused on the fun stuff (in my opinion) :shifty:

I haven't managed to get on this for a few days, I'm craving some wilderness action so bad :(

I'm still very early on but I'm really enjoying my time with this so far. Arthur seems like he could end up being Rockstar's best protagonist and while I've always had an issue with how cumbersome their games can be, I'm not finding it as much of an issue with this as I expected after reviews and early impressions drew more attention to it than they normally do. Even the tap to sprint isn't bothering me here as I'm only finding it necessary to use when chasing someone or moving between cover in shootouts, the jogging speed seems about as fast as sprinting in previous games and I've got that set to toggle instead of hold, which I heavily recommend.

Does the game seem especially dark at night to anyone else? On the default brightness calibration, I could pretty much just see the outlines of characters during some of the opening scenes in the snowstorm, I've since put it up to the max and it can still be difficult to see when riding at night. Can't tell if it's intentional to encourage use of the lantern or possibly my TV settings.

Oh, and the soundtrack is amazing!

I think you have the same problem I did thinking this, not a glitch thankfully. Stand in front of the German guy you are robbing (turns out he is standing in front of a dresser with the last valuables in it), it will give you a triangle prompt and he will move and you loot the stuff then can finish the mission.

Buy a train ticket from Valentine to Riggs Station for just under $5, then get off the train at Riggs, quickly climb the water tower and jump onto the top of a carriage. May as well put your mask on at this point. You'll probably get a crime witnessed/reported message immediately but ignore it. Let the train leave the station, then make your way to the front, and when the train is on the very long, and very high bridge, hold him up and make him stop. There will be two armed guards on the train, so take them out as quickly as you can. They will come for you so you don't have to go looking for them. Now you have all the time in the world (because the lawmen can't get up to you) to make your way through the train, robbing from every passenger, and also looting from the mail cars. It would be a huge help at this point to have unlocked the fence as you're going to need to sell all the valuables to him, but also try and buy some dynamite before doing all this. There is usually a couple of safes in the mail cars. Equip dynamite, press R2/RT to set it on the safe, then ignite it and move back.

I make a run for it in the direction the train is facing when I'm done. Your horse won't be around, so you'll just have to run, and you need to avoid roads because the lawmen will be on horses and very, very fast. The best way I've found is to run to the end of the bridge, then turn left and just keep running, without going towards roads, until the 'investigating' bit is done. Before that, don't stop, even if you think you've lost them. You will have a bounty of around $50-$60 by this point, but between the cash looted and selling the valuables to the fence, I was making just under $200 per robbery, after paying off the bounty.

That's really cool.

Hmm. As much as I like the game, I haven't been playing it a lot yet -- I'd just pop on for few hours before going back to FFXIV or chatting with someone else. It's weird as it is good game but never have that moment where I feel like I want to play more.

Maybe it'll happen, but if not at least I'll enjoy casual gameplay out of it.

I did this last night too - very amusing stuff! Genuinely laughed aloud when he just deadpan says "Margaret the strawberry floating danger woman" (or something like that!).

I'm really into this game, love playing it. I think the gameplay is fine, although it's really for the most part a bunch of 'go here, fetch this, shoot him' missions, but dressed up in the setting and populated with some great characters as it is just elevates it to something really excellent.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

Is this true? You can't use inappropriate language as a name in a strawberry floating Rockstar game?

Cheers. Might try again after a mission or two. I did push him aside. Picked up a wedding ring and no change.

Main story 100% done. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Might do some more of the side quests but not interested in the ultimate completion effort/all challenges.

Looking forward to playing some coop in Red Dead Online.

Just done a couple of story missions that really clunked.

I’m amazed Rockstar don’t get more criticism for their gameplay loop. Which has effectively remained unchanged for 2 decades.

Time for adventure

The most disturbing thing ever happened to me in a Rockstar game, don't go near a certain cabin in the swamps...

I just got invited into a boarded up cabin by a hobo and clubbed over the head and pretty sure raped  Heard the guys trousers etc in blackness. Dumped in middle of nowhere with all cores at zero and limping, strawberry float sake :slol:

Other thing could think of theres a lock box outside right next to the house under something, search right round perimeter close to house, was on one of outside corners. Might do it.

Are you on 4K HDR?

If so it’s not exact a HDR. Switch it off.

Ha anyone else changed their opinion on any characters from the first game? I've been surprised at how much I've warmed to Javier. He plays the guitar so nicely. Still think Bill is a prick though. I'm just at the end of Chapter 2, so not really played that much of the story, but they've done a pretty good job of showing you the personalities of the gang, between the missions and the camp talk.
