Thanks to the Quadruple XP weekend currently underway I've ranked up from 1 to 8 in about an hour, however I don't really see the appeal of the MP I've tried. It doesn't seem anything other than a free for all in the modes I've tried. I did manage to find a co op mission and did that which was fun but on the whole I'm not getting it yet

Funny to read the vitriol posted on Rockstars own site from high ranked people moaning about the quadruple XP boosting noobs like me!

It's not. I didn't finish this game. It's really repetitive. And they always drag you away from a character right when you start to like them a lot.

You said it. Its not even as good as GTA because at least then you can steal police cars and pretend to arrest people.

Also, I like this game a lot more than GTA. I loved San Andreas but GTA IV was dull as sin. They found lots of great ways to sap fun out that game like friends and the mobile phone and toll booths, I found everything was grey, dull and boring :x

RDR though, and John Marston, what a guy

Her sig, profile picture for the last months kind of gave it away. Im superised you like Marston though. He was sort of bad ass but as a game character, he wasnt really that deep. I mean they killed him off for heaven sake!

But then again I did find that sad so there you go.

I think he's got great presence, makes me feel so damn righteous just trotting around on a horse in that game in the duster coat 8-)

Crazy lady, crazy opinions!

Have you played GTA:Chinatown Wars? The toll booths are awesome in that. Well, they're pretty good.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

RDR is one of the greatest games ever made.

RDR really shows what could be done with GTA. I recently got undead nightmare which has spurred me on to play vanilla game again, it really is spectacular with its atmosphere. I love just picking a point on the horizon and making my merry way there (whilst trying not to get eaten by a cougar).

Whenever someone mentions stealing a police car in GTA IV I am compelled to post this:

The game is way too repetitive, and the cut scenes and characters are for the most part dull as sin. It suffers from Rockstar syndrome as well. Pretty much the same problems that have been in their games since GTA3.

All I want to do is kill people in funny ways.

Perhaps you should look into buying the Assassin's Creed games.

Sweet. Finally time for me to jump in, as I had been eyeing up RDR for a while but held off for such a version with the DLC included.

Cheap as chips too.

What the strawberry float is up with the bullshit chores you have to do when the main story is finished? I've specifically avoided herding cattle etc for the entirety of the game, why the hell am I being forced to do it now? Is there anything after this? Can I just stop playing and never come back to it?
