Having seen photos of Loki, I can only assume she has no soul, and you are well clear.

Sounds like it was a load of stress for no real material gain other than being able to say you were in a relationship. Definitely doesnt have to be that way. Just cool it and line up the next one.

Yeah I know it. The answer to the questions are no, no and no. In that order. I don't dislike her, and I really hope she does well and manages to get herself out of the position she's in. But we're not compatible. And logically I know that.

Cheers for the responses. I hate posting private stuff on the internet but it's helpful to hear what other people think without burdening family etc. I'm just conscious that the facts as stated are obviously biased toward my perception of what happened.

Don't worry mate, she's posted her own version of events on forum.dontbackchatmycat.co.uk and I've told her basically the same thing

How does one condescend a cat? Did you try giving it tips on what types of prey are best left at the end of the bed?

I did wonder that as well...

She sounds totally unreasonable, strawberry float that gooseberry fool. Not literally.

Yeah Cora, she doesn't sound too dissimilar to an ex girlfriend of mine. We went out for 2 years and things only got worse. 5 months is still pretty much the honeymoon stage when people still quite aren't themselves, so if she's being that unreasonable now (and honestly, she sounds crazy) imagine how it would be a couple of years down the line....

Indeed, she'd be ripping his hair out.

Oh wait.

Yeah that crossed my mind too. People are normally more reasonable at the start of a relationship. Except from my current girlfriend, she was a bit mad on pills and gooseberry fool initially. But then that's my thing.

Off on a total tangent here but actually this relationship has made me realise I prefer a near constant challenge in relationships. It's much harder to make work, but actually it stops me from getting bored as quickly as I have with every other girl I've been with so far.

I spoke to it like I'd speak to my dog, told her she was a good girl or something. I think the chat went along the lines of, "Don't speak to her like that, cats are smart, she's not like your dog."

EDIT: I think I like a challenging relationship too. It's probably why I kept going back, even when it was clear that we didn't suit one another.

Cora, I can't really add much beyond what other people have put here, but she sounds a bit crazy, you probably weren't compatible.

If your sense of humour, which is absolutely fine, puts her on the back foot or she doesn't get it (or, puts her on the back foot because she doesn't get it), then just forget it and move on.

She sounds a bit needy, irascible and defensive. Even if she has medical reasons for this behaviour, you don't need that in your life and it's not your job to fix her.

Concentrate on the new girl(s) and don't let what this one girl has said put you off being yourself with other women.

Yes but is she fit? If so then these are all minor issues that could be overlooked.

A firm 7.5, maybe even an 8. Splendid. Mad as a box of frogs though, from the looks of it. Maybe she sorts her head out* and you get back together, who knows?

Yay Cora, now we get to meet up and talk about why we bother with women but totally not go gay.

Would love to show my wife but I just know she'd want to know where she ranks on there in my opinion. I'd then watch her go to Danger Zone instantly whatever I said.
