There is a knack that most overweight woman have mastered, of using flattering angles to look thin. We usually look at people's social media profiles as part of the recruitment process (to gauge personality, weed out racists/idiots and also to see what they actually post on social media) and the number of women who get to interview stage and appear to have gained at least three stone is incredible.

One of them is holding the phone/camera above their head and looking up at it. Looking up gets rid of a few extra chins.

I found the Tinder Drop Off to be a recurring effect when I used it. First time was in Melbourne, second in Manchester and both times I'd experience a glut of matches in the first 2 months or so, with an inevitable drop off thereafter. This was a good year and a half ago, so not sure if user numbers have tanked now.

And I was always pretty lucky with my matches; they all ending up looking better than their photos. Met my then girlfriend through it, who looked OK on the app but was a knockout in real life (bragbrag). In Manchester the worst I had was that one of my dates was only slightly shorter than me (so about 6'1) which was oddly alarming at first, but she was still lovely.

Wow. So much self complimenting/bragging in there.

I don't use Tinder - but it comes (/snicker) in ebs and flows normally on other apps.

Have you spruced up your profile at all recently? New pics/text?

This is a total stereotype so apologies in advance, but is it not the case that quite often as a gay man you could just match and message someone down the road for a quick ride and they'd be up for it half the time?

You think there's a drop off after two months of staying in the same area? Weird.

No I haven't cause I've kind of been seeing at least one girl since around October, so didn't want to change my profile at all. :shifty:

Now I'm free of those shackles and been working out, that's set to change.

Seriously though, I used to get too many matches I could chat to quite a few girls and date the best ones. Not the same anymore! :-( I do genuinely think it's related to Tinder Gold. banana splits.

Yeah, by that point I'd ploughed through the majority of people on there. I use 'plough' there to mean 'browsed.' I'm not Falsey

I haven't used Tinder for a couple years, what with having a girlfriend and all. Now that we've broken up, which strawberry floating sucks and I'm still rather unhappy about it, I figured I'd give Tinder a go once again.

What the strawberry float has happened in two years? If it isn't pictures with those stupid filters on, it's girls with ridiculous eyebrows or pouting. :|

I once saw a girl on Tinder that had SIX different photos of herself with the dog snapchat filter on.

Good lord. If there's 2 things I hate on Tinder it's girls who have profile pictures with that filter, and girls who are way too into horses...

Anyways, I met my girlfriend on Match and we've been together 6 months now, I just helped her move flat and she gave me a key :-D

I never had anything in common with my Tinder dates apart from one, who was just a bit of a mess of a person really

I've got a great example. Just not sure if it's appropriate to put it on the internet.
