Nope. She get mad, saying "u not reply?!"

So I'm always replying "hmm."

Bloody women.

Fake edit: Maybe I'll be blunt the next time by replying: "I can't think of anything to say."

Just say 'woman i'm strawberry floating busy, have you not got something better to do'

That should do the trick

Was single till I was 31 mate, now I'm engaged, moving into a house with a kid on the way.

Embrace the singleness

Have fully embraced it the last 18 months after being in relationships for 6 odd years and strawberry floating off travelling for over a year now

Had a pretty heavy weekend. Have had several casual relationships this year but hadn't been looking for anything serious with me going away. It's been fun but they mostly fizzled out when one of us got bored or whatever. One girl however that I met in January, I really clicked with and it progressed from meeting for sex to getting strawberry floated up together, to meeting up more and more on nights out and then eventually, in the last few months proper couply stuff. She knows all my friends really well now (she cried when saying goodbye to my best mate who I'm going away with), called me first when she crashed her car and I've ended up staying at hers for the last 2 weeks or so.

We've never spoke about being in a relationship or really anytime about what was going because me going away was always set in stone but I guess we kind of naturally ended up acting like that. Which basically resulted in outpouring of emotion on Friday from both sides. I guess on my part I hadn't really considered how much I'd miss her. On Saturday we were chilling at hers for a final night together had music streaming from her phone. I went to change the song on her phone and when I opened it she had left her whatsapp with her mate open where she was telling her about the previous night and how she'd nearly said 'the L word'....

All in all a bit gooseberry fool really. I talk to her all the time so I'm sure I'll keep in touch but I'm going away for at least a year so I don't really see how we can do much more than keep in touch, and see where we both are when I come back.

I often find my best relationships happen just before I head off travelling. Mainly because I'm a massive commitment phobe and you don't get that issue when you both already know that one of you is strawberry floating off.

Sounds like you handled it well though, as you say you can always see what's up whenever you return to the Uk.

Yeah, I think there's definitely something to be said for that. I guess because you both know what's happening down the line, there's a lot less pressure. And if nothing happens again at the least we've had a lot of fun over the last 9 months so definitely no regrets.

Things have been going well for me recently.

My ex and I split up towards the start of July last year so I've been on my own since then. Had a couple of brief flings that were more about sex than anything else, but when it hit the year mark I decided that I wanted to look for something a little bit more.

Surprisingly it came from Tinder. Got talking to her and it really grew from there. She's into the same types of TV shows, loves music (She's actually a Principle Teacher in Music and Drama) and has a great sense of humour. She's a little bit older than me (38 to my 33) and has two kids from her marriage (12 and 20) which is weird as I've never been in this kind of situation before. But it's going great.

She's not into games, but is willing and eager to learn. Started her off with Journey which she really enjoyed. Also made her a youtube playlist of game music which she loved. We then sat and talked about game music solidly for two hours.

Cheers man.

It's all the little things that I'm enjoying right now. I've lost track of the number of times I've said something, or she's said something and we've shared the same opinion on it.

Still very much in the honeymoon period at the moment though so we'll see how things go over the next few months. :D
