Well, went to a well-regarded psychiatrist but he wasn't keen on doing the family role model thing (wonder why) so I just chatted about my life to him and basically got called a g. Which was nice although possibly not worth almost 50 quid.

You’re ahead of me there. I’ve been in the same relationship for 11 years, married for 3 years and have a 10 month old kid and we still don’t have a joint account.

I went joint when we moved in together it is just simpler, we still have our accounts and we put a set amount each into the main one, that way joint bills are covered but the rest of our money is ours preventing the "well i can't just spend that the wife will see how much it is and kill me" thing.
