NYT confirmed it too:
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/08/us/p ... e=Homepage

"No comment" from Korea Aerospace Industries:
In addition, Korea Aerospace Industries paid Mr. Cohen’s company $150,000 last November, according to the records. The company, an aircraft manufacturer, is partners with Lockheed Martin, the American defense contractor, in competition for a multibillion dollar contract to provide trainer jets for the United States Air Force that is expected to be awarded this year. A representative for Korea Aerospace declined to comment.

This could be a pretty big corruption scandal in itself, funny what a lawsuit over an affair with a pornstar has uncovered

NY Times wrote:Financial records reviewed by The New York Times show that Mr. Cohen, President Trump’s personal lawyer and longtime fixer, used the shell company, Essential Consultants L.L.C., for an array of business activities that went far beyond what was publicly known. Transactions adding up to at least $4.4 million flowed through Essential Consultants starting shortly before Mr. Trump was elected president and continuing to this January, the records show.

 $4.4 million  And this is just one LLC  They have hundreds

So they burnt (burned? burnt?) a US flag in the Iranian parliament after Trump's decision yesterday :fp:

That'll help, good job.

I have never understood why people are so offended by a flag being burnt, I’m not much of a flag person though.

I guess Iran will now go straight back to enriching uranium, the US will impose harsh sanctions and Trump will then fall out (fallout, tee hee) with Britain and/or the EU if we don’t go along with the sanctions. What a fun few years we have ahead of us.

It was the Iranian hardliners that burnt the flag. The wanted the deal to fall apart so they're pretty happy.

I'm not offended, flags don't get me hot either. But as a symbol for Americans to see it'll just further cement in the minds of Trump's supporters that Iranians are all bad hombres and that he was bigly right to get out of that terrible smelly deal that Obama (Iranian name perhaps? I'm not saying he's Iranian but he ate a kebab once - connect the dots!) forced the US into during his reign of failure.

There's nothing your Average Joe Iranian can really do to let their love of America sway Trump and his supporters. It has been known for years that they want better relations with the US, but the Trumpites have never once tried to actually meet them in the middle and try to build relations. They will never support amicable relations with Iran, at least so long as the Ayatollah, clerics etc are in power.

This is all part of that strange American culture that says that the only true patriotism is to have extreme reverence for the flag, national anthem or pledge of allegiance and anyone that doesn't is subhuman scum who obviously hates America and wants to see it destroyed.
They honestly can't understand how people can still be patriotic while not really being that bothered about a flag or not feeling the need to stand at the national anthem which is why they see Europe as some unpatriotic hellhole.
I think I'm fairly patriotic but burning our flag doesn't mean anything to me other than you paid to buy a flag and then burn it so "good one fuckface" would be my response.
If anything I see it as a sneaky sales opportunity as we can see them gooseberry fool they can then burn in protest.

My friend was head of protocol at Wimbledon during the Olympics. During the final, the US flag fell off its post to the floor and she had to write a grovelling letter of apology to the office of Michelle Obama, who was in attendance, as the flag hitting the ground is seen as a grave insult according to tradition.

Patriotism is just a few small steps from nationalism, I try to avoid it as much as possible.

I'm surprised Fox News didn't devote an entire day trying to claim it's part of some liberal plot designed to destroy American conservatism.
I bet it was :shifty: .
