The sooner Bannon is jettisoned the better. He's like a cuntier, more malevolent version of Cheney.

If people mentioning "President Bannon" annoys Trump, I wonder how Pence reacts when people compare Bannon to Cheney? ;)

I am reassured by the reports that Trump is angry with Bannon. I was beginning to think that they were actually evil geniuses that were deliberately producing executive orders that they knew would be struck down by judges, so that they could then point the finger at the judiciary and whip up a storm of hatred against them as soon as a terrorist attack happens. Then they could use the public support to move more power towards themselves and away from the courts.

As it turns out, Bannon might be an evil genius (that remains to be seen) but Trump is actually just the petulant manchild that we always thought he was.

John Bercow, the Speaker, has just said being invited to give a speech in Westminster Hall for a foreign leader is an “earned honour”. And it is not an invitation that automatically comes with a state visit, he says.
He says is is one of three people that would have to approve an invitation to someone to speak in Westminster Hall. He would have been opposed to an address by President Trump in Westminster Hall even before the migrant ban. Since that ban, he is even more opposed to it, he says.
He says he has less influence over whether Trump gets invited to speak in the Royal Gallery (which is in the Lords). But he would oppose that too, he says.
He says this is because of the House’s opposition to “racism and sexism”.

The "so called speaker" should really remain neutral, but as a piece of theatre I liked it. He has a habit of interjecting on a lot of things though, which I'm sure will rile up the likes of the Daily Mail, Spectator, Telegraph etc. in the coming hours and days.

Fair play Bercow! I imagine we will see a response along the lines of the US not needing to acknowledge that house!

I do feel addressing parliament is a high honour that should only really be reserved for foreign dignitaries who have made some kind of outstanding achievement. For example someone kind of like Mandela. Trump definitely shouldn't get one before the end of the first year of a very divisive term.

Jesus Christ. :fp:

EDIT - The White House, as far as I know, still hasn't commented on the Quebec mosque killings carried out by a right wing terrorist.

EDIT - Ah, no they did however they used it as justification for the Muslim ban.

How are you supposed to argue that the press aren't reporting on terrorist attacks though; that's how Trump and his supporters always get away with these outlandish conspiracy theories.

Yeah it's bollocks of the highest order, terrorist attacks are obviously heavily reported on.
