Aspects of th press in the United States and United Kingdom have needed to be held to account for their lies and overt sensationalism for a very long time. The problem is he's launched an all out assault on those also telling the truth. For all his protestations he wants biased, fake news. His supporters want biased, fake news. You take away the press and all belief in it and you kill democracy.

It's a disaster. And the press are themselves to blame in many respects. The lack of a regulator in the USA like Ofcom to make sure the news that goes out on TV is balanced and as factual as possible is another massive problem. In the U.K. the majority of news is still consumed via the BBC, Sky News, ITV News and Channel 4 via TV, online and radio. It's the wall, the barrier, against websites and newspapers that lean a certain way. Fox News pioneered this monster and its grown ever since.

Nah I was joking. Trump loves Muslims and can't wait to invite lots of them over for a party.

You have no proof he hates muslims. He banned few nations which is absurd but if he hated muslims he would surely ban over 40 plus countries that are Muslim countries ?

Touch me

Even Fox News is calling him out.

I watched the press conference just now and it was the usual shitshow. He's loopy and completely out of his depth.

He even asked a black reporter to set up a meeting for him with the Congressional Black Caucus

BTW, the CBC already tried to get a meeting with him:

You're right, he only tried to ban people from Muslim countries and it's not like he only banned Muslims from those nations and made an exception for people with "minority religions" from those countries is it?

And I guess in the run up to the election he never said there would be a complete shutdown of Muslims entering the US?

I am sure he loves you all.

The little back and forth between Trump and John Sopel (BBC Politicial Correspondent) made me chuckle. In his nightly reports John Sopel couldn't show his disdain for Trump more if he tried, so I'm not surprised at Trump's remark. As a BBC correspondent you'd think he'd at least try and be balanced FFS.

Is he not loving the shitstorm that seems to permanently shroud the White House though? Impeachment looks like a solid possibility right now - especially given how scandal-prone Trump is.

Shep's ways called out the bullshit. I have no idea what he's doing at Fox News. He's probably the only genuine journalist there.

This trump live stream going on now...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPAo_J8gotQ

Someone asked him why he labels news he doesn't like "Fake News" instead of just saying it's "Bad News", and he said "Yeah, I know, the reason I do that is because I know what the story should be."

Some other choice quotes from people watching the stream:

Canadians f-ed after we kick em out all the mexicans and moviestars are moving there BYE- BYE!
