She just has. Pity. I was looking forward to more of her craziness. Anyway, there are still enough nutters running to keep me amused.

John McCain is a saint compared to the current crop of candidates, but he's still a banana split compared to the last batch of Democratic presidential nominees. Sarah Palin? She's a rotten one too.

While not as bad as some of the Republicans, I still remember him singing the “bomb bomb bomb Iran” song in 2008.

He opposed the repealing of Don't Ask Don't Tell, even after it was made plain through long studies he wanted that the military, from top to bottom, was in favour of its repeal.

The first South Carolina poll for nearly a month has Romney with a 10 point lead. If he wins Iowa/NH/SC then it's 100% over.

And then we can watch him (hopefully) get trounced by Obama this November.

His attack ads are going to be excruciating to watch though. The lies they tell...

All campaign ads in the US are lies.

I find it much more fun to read the names of the various groups that have supposedly funded the ads.

They won't even have to be "his" thanks to Citizens United.

Companies can also advocate for a certain party or person as well so any politician who is attempting to tighten regulations against business also has them to battle against as they buy adverts in favour of mainly Republican candidates. There is a bill up for consideration getting rid of Corporate Personhood but I don't think it will get much traction.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporate_personhood

I really hope this sort of thing doesn't ever make its way over here as the idea of companies being able to rally for certain parties makes the possibility that companies can buy politicians more probable.

Interesting argument from Rick Santorum against gay marriage or for polygamy (just to be clear I'm for gay marriage) there are a couple of flaws but the students are just being outraged instead of trying to think analytically about his what seems on the surface a very reasonable argument.

I don't have a problem with polygamy (as long as everyone in the marriage is happy with it). He never answered the girls question though, just tried to dodge it by going on about "what if 3 men wanted to marry?" which is a different question to what she asked him.

It's just a variation of the Slippery Slope Fallacy.

Useless.

The same argument can be made against different sex marriage, Rick.

Ron Paul or Gary Johnson are the only two candidates I would like to see as President.

4 more years of Obama, or 4 years of a man who believes his underwear is magical. I'm not sure which is worse.

Obama is much better a prospect than any Republican.

Gary Johnson isn't running as a Republican. He's running as an independent/libertarian. 8-)

I'd like to see an end to the drug wars and an end to Keynesian economics. Obama won't end either. Ron Paul and Gary Johnson would.
