The generals don’t have any say in the matter though.

To order a nuclear strike, Trump only needs to key in the codes and tell them where to fire. It also requires the Secretary of Defence to enter their code, but the SoD doesn’t have a choice in the matter (they could refuse but they would be instantly replaced by somebody who would do it!).

I genuinely think that the only thing that will save us is that there is no way Trump has managed to remember any of those codes. ;)

I'll be written down or some gooseberry fool.

If he had to actually remember them he would have posted them to Twitter for safe keeping long ago.

Or they decided that numbers would not be Donny’s thing and they have made the codeword “Password”.

You would hope in that situation somebody immediately tries to enact the 25th Amendment and remove Trump from office on the grounds of mental instability.

Your joking put weren't the nuclear launch codes set to something like 000 for about 50 odd years.

My money's on Christopher Walken to play Trump in the inevitable movie of all this.

Jupiter is in your sun sign this week, making it pretty crowded in there, what with Jupiter being the largest of the planets and all.

Unfortunately the facilities to make films will no longer exist in the irradiated wastes of Hollywood.

Walken will rebuild. Walken has the technology.

Luckily the strike orders are still given to actual humans who have to actually push the button/turn the key to launch the nukes, so hopefully they'd refuse to do so.

Unless it's from a submarine of course in which case the missiles can be launched remotely.
