Trump: "I probably have a very good relationship with Kim Jong Un. I have relationships with people. I think you people are surprised.”

Kim Jong Un: "I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged US dotard with fire."

The best relationships.

The move was planned before Obama took office, during the Bush administration.

Big thread on the Fusion GPS testimony, fascinating and alarming in equal measure:

I'm really struggling with this Fusion GPS story, because in the back of my mind, I think I still expect it to be about sat-navs.

I hate the Donald so much that it get mini bouts of rage while all alone. What a piece of human gooseberry fool the man is.

I'm convinced that if he said the 'N' word he'd still get away with it.

In a tweet that contradicted the government’s position on the issue and seemingly took Downing Street by surprise, the foreign secretary blamed Jeremy Corbyn and the mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, saying: “The US is the biggest single investor in the UK – yet Khan & Corbyn seem determined to put this crucial relationship at risk. We will not allow US-UK relations to be endangered by some puffed up pompous popinjay in City Hall.”

At this point it's pretty obvious that his fans don't give a gooseberry fool what he does, they'll still support him anyway.
What does amaze me is just how much republicans are willing to let one person screw with the country and make crazy decisions that go against everything they claim to be (The republicans are supposed to be fiscal conservatives so adding billions to the deficit should be a complete no) just to stay in power.
I do however enjoy them calling people liberal snowflakes while moaning like hell whenever they get criticised and allowing the President to use the childish tactic of hiting back twice as hard if he gets criticised.
He's the president, not a spoiled toddler.

Her honestly thinks he can just claim "Fake news" to make even the most obvious lie reality.

I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to do an emergency live broadcast just to call Obama "A total wanker!!!" and then 20 minutes later after the shitstorm that would cause has started deny he said it.
Sanders would also be trotted out to claim that calling someone a wanker is actually a term of highest praise in England and anyone who thinks otherwise should maybe go to England and get educated. It would then turn out she made that comment to a BBC journalist from Hull and she'd then claim that obviously Hull has been so saturated with immigrants that nobody from Hull actually knows English customs or social norms and that all the people from the BBC are now employees of Hillary Clinton anyway so should not be trusted.

As a city where more than 300 languages are spoken, London has a proud history of tolerance and diversity and to suggest there are areas where police officers cannot go because of radicalisation is simply ridiculous.

I would welcome the opportunity to show Mr Trump first hand some of the excellent work our police officers do every day in local neighbourhoods throughout our city.

Crime has been falling steadily in both London and New York - and the only reason I wouldn't go to some parts of New York is the real risk of meeting Donald Trump."

He’s not denying the remarks as such, he is just denying the use of the language quoted, he says it wasn’t “shithole” but that he did use tough language.

I think he thinks that people are angry because of the swear word, and doesn’t realise that people are angry because of the intent behind what he said.

VOX wrote:It’s official: 2017 was the costliest year on record for natural disasters in the United States, with a price tag of at least $306 billion.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which tracks billion-dollar disasters, noted Monday that the record total came from 16 separate events with damages exceeding $1 billion.

Image

If that seems shocking, consider some of the record-breaking weather events that came our way:

  • California was drenched in the wettest winter on record, ending years of drought.
  • Then came California’s most destructive and largest wildfire season ever. The Tubbs Fire in Northern California killed 22 people and damaged more than 5,600 structures.
  • Hurricane Harvey broke a rainfall record for a single tropical storm with more than 4 feet of rain.
  • Puerto Rico is still mired in the longest blackout in US history after Hurricane Maria struck three months ago. More than 1,000 are estimated to have died in the storm and its aftermath.
  • 2017 was the third-hottest year on record. San Francisco reported its highest temperature ever, 106 degrees Fahrenheit, while other parts of the country set records for high-temperature streaks. For states like Arizona and South Carolina, 2017 was the warmest year ever.
  • 14 places across Oklahoma, Missouri, and Arkansas reported record-high water levels during floods in April and May.
Requests for federal disaster aid jumped tenfold compared to 2016, with 4.7 million people registering with the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

All told, NOAA’s estimate of $306 billion is very likely conservative — other estimates put the total closer to $400 billion.

But even though the unending string of calamities felt unprecedented, we must see 2017 as an average year, if not a baseline. We must reckon with the likelihood of even worse storms, heat waves, fires, and droughts as the Earth warms — because scientists expect even this “new normal” to get worse.

The reasons for this are many: As the climate changes, the US is becoming much more vulnerable to disasters. People keep flocking to live in places we know are likely to be hit. And our policies don’t protect them, not by a long shot.

Ouch. Imagine how much worse it would be if climate change actually existed...

Yep, it was just an unlucky year, no climate change at all. It makes sense as well, Obama was still President for a little bit of 2017 and so it is all his fault, 2018 will see nothing but good weather!

I'm pretty sure Hillary had something to do with those disasters. They should investigate her emails again.

Hillary and Obama are the same person.

Have you ever seen them in the same room together?
