My word that is an impressive amount of bullshit.

You can almost, almost, see Trump overseeing the letter being drafted and noting the key points for inclusion.

Trump needs to take more time off to recharge, 21 golfing trips in 4 months is clearly not enough.

Job Cuts Endure at Indiana Factories Despite Trump Pressure

About 1,500 workers at three Indiana factories are facing layoffs despite hopes that President Donald Trump would convince the companies to reverse plans for moving production to Mexico.

United Technologies confirmed Friday that the first wave of about 50 layoffs happened last week at its electronics plant that had about 700 workers in Huntington. The plant in the northeastern Indiana city is slated for closure.

Steps are also being taken toward about 550 job cuts anticipated at a Carrier Corp. factory in Indianapolis, where Trump's intervention last fall curbed job losses but didn't halt them altogether. Layoffs could start within a month at a 350-worker Rexnord industrial bearings factory in Indianapolis, according to United Steelworkers Local 1999 President Chuck Jones, who represents workers at the Carrier and Rexnord plants.

Two Ohio coal-burning power plants bite the dust

Electricity company Dayton Power & Light said on Monday it would shut down two coal-fired power plants in southern Ohio next year for economic reasons, a setback for the ailing coal industry but a victory for environmental activists.

Republican President Donald Trump promised in his election campaign to restore U.S. coal jobs that he said had been destroyed by environmental regulations put into effect by his Democratic predecessor, Barack Obama.

Dayton Power & Light, a subsidiary of AES Corp. (AES), said in an emailed statement that it planned to close the J.M. Stuart and Killen plants by June 2018 because they would not be “economically viable beyond mid-2018.”

Coal demand has flagged in recent years due to competition from cheap and plentiful natural gas.

The plants along the Ohio River in Adams County employ some 490 people and generate about 3,000 megawatts of power from coal.

In terms of the jobs, voters had nothing to lose by voting for Trump. Their jobs were probably going to go anyway. Just broken hopes, really.

They believed his lies and ignored (at best) his bigotry. If they voted for him, strawberry float 'em.

While the jobs would have gone anyway, they have plenty more to lose under Trump. Welfare, Medicaid, future employment opportunities...
