WASHINGTON — Steve Bannon, who served as President Trump’s chief strategist, was interviewed by special counsel Robert Mueller over multiple days this week, NBC News has learned from two sources familiar with the proceedings.

Bannon spent a total of some 20 hours in conversations with the team led by Mueller, who is investigating possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia as well as other issues that have arisen around the probe.

Bannon appeared Thurday in closed door hearings before the House Intelligence Committee, but the session was brief. Bannon only answered 25 questions and refused to discuss events that took place after the 2016 presidential election, including the transition and his time inside the White House.

Republican chairman Mike Conaway of Texas said after the hearing ended that he would consult with lawyers and House Speaker Paul Ryan about potentially holding Bannon in contempt of Congress.

Two big Russia developments yesterday.

Bannon might not be talking to the House, but he's been rather more forthcoming with Mueller.

And Rick Gates is finalising details on his plea deal. We have suspected this for a while, but this is a biggy when it happens.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said Wednesday that the House Intelligence Committee has an “abundance” of information that is not yet public, including evidence that President Trump's campaign colluded with Russia and that his administration obstructed justice.

“There is certainly an abundance of non-public information that we’ve gathered in the investigation. And I think some of that non-public evidence is evidence on the issue of collusion and some ... on the issue of obstruction,” Schiff said, according to The Guardian.

Schiff, who is the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said the panel has seen evidence of money laundering, but has been unable to further investigate.
"As a former prosecutor, you follow the money. We have not been able to adequately follow the money," Schiff said.

I'm so tuned out to all this russia/trump stuff. It's just like white noise now. He seems untouchable for some reason. Makes think if Nixon was president now then he and his team would also have gotten away with everything.

Hannity will go into overdrive with his conspiracy theories no matter how rock solid this information is.

Yep, partisanship is everything now and everything the filthy liberal media says is a lie.
My pet hate is when conservatives realise they can't win a debate and change the subject and expect you to then just forget the previous topic of conversation. This mostly relies on just constantly bringing up Hillary Clinton and claiming she has something to do with it even if She's never touched the subject.

That’s because we are looking at Watergate after it was all over, we are living through the Trump stuff. Watergate didn’t happen over a few days, these things take time.

17 June 1972: break in at the Watergate Hotel

8 August 1974: Resignation of Nixon.

Trump has been in power just over 1 year, Nixon lasted over 2 years following the break in.

I've come to believe/hope that we won't hear anything from Mueller until he has the motherlode of all indictments on the whole Trump clan. There's not really anybody else he can charge at this point, without Trump reacting. If Mueller goes after Donny Jr or Jared, Trump will almost certainly lose it. Better to keep the investigation going for as long as possible until Trump pulls the trigger and then we end up with Congress having to step in.

If evidence of collusion has been uncovered, that's super strawberry floating big news. It won't sway Trump's dumbass core of support, but it will lead to indictments, convictions and many more news cycles where Trump is on the defensive. Trump himself might have to meet Mueller, too.

Whether Trump or any of his family will go down is another matter, but it will hurt him in the elections.

Instead of stuff being made up to serve what is now a nationalist conspiracy theory let's talk about stuff being made up which is actually really funny

TRUMP TALKED ABOUT ‘BIG BLACK DICK’ AND OFFENDED PLAYBOY MODEL, ENDING AFFAIR, REPORT CLAIMS

Karen McDougal, 1998’s Playmate of the Year, had a nine-month-long affair with the New York billionaire that ended around April 2007 after she began feeling guilty about the tryst, according to the New Yorker’s report published Friday morning citing multiple unnamed sources. Another factor in the alleged relationship ending, according to the report, was that Trump said a friend of hers liked “the big black dick” when a relationship with an African-American man was brought up in conversation.

Trump is said to have made the comment, which offended both women, while McDougal and her friend rode in his limousine to a Miss Universe pageant. Trump reportedly also discussed how attractive McDougal's friend was and the size of her breasts.

McDougal is said to have told Trump that her mother disapproved of him, to which Trump called McDougal’s mother an “old hag.”

Karen McDougal sold her story to the Enquirer, which is owned by a friend of Trump, who used the exclusivity arrangement to kill the story. Apparently, he does this to a lot of people. I'm so happy that her story is finally getting some air time.

Please let the Russians include Oleg Deripaska.

Edit: strawberry float. :x

If you want a good, detailed summary of what yesterday's indictments mean, this is a great place to start:

Wow that's quite a bombshell and some truly disturbing allegations. This surely needs to result in much much stricter sanctions against Russia.

I'd hope the UK would step up it's own investigation and encourage sanctions internationally as I can't see Trump acting.

Classy.

Here he is grinning like a twat for a photo op when visiting victims, their families, first responders and medical staff after the shooting:

Let's not forget what's important right now:

Ah yes, it was actually Hillary (remember her?) who colluded with the Russians, losing the election.
