That's not what happened at all.

IIRC...

He took at picture at the start
Stormed out in a not at all staged manner
Went off to another engagement
Posted a post half time picture to say he was still there and having fun, having not blown a massive amount of taxpayer money on Trump mandated stunt

But that second picture had previously been posted on his Twitter in 2014.

It's all just so depressingly petty.

And inept. Political stunts aren't new but they can't even manage to deceive people correctly.

Really? I'm fairly sure the target audience will have lapped it up

You surely aren't arguing this was a deftly made political manoeuvre?

I sort of think it could be. It's so inept that it almost had to have been deliberate. They have the power and are pretty much unaccountable. It's like that Hypernormalization thing that the Russians invented, just to create confusion and a feeling of powerlessness.

No I'm saying the target audience were probably deceived - even by that stunt.

Then again most of them will be fooled by the old "Got ya nose" trick...

It wasn’t deft, but the audience they were targeting with the stunt will absolutely love it. Even if the deceit is pointed out to them, they’ll absolutely love it.

Trump could fart on stage, shout 'her emails!' and do a Nazi salute and his base would lap up. The fact is, Pence tried to make out like this was an impromptu protest. That attempt failed.

It failed to convince anybody that dislikes Trump/Pence.

Trump/Pence supporters either lapped it up or didn’t care that it was staged.

But I'm saying the mechanics of it were inept. Bumbling. See-through.

Anyway.

Considering the number of partially empty stadiums & worsening ratings (on some games) at the NFL yesterday, it may actually be getting through. Though there are other factors playing into the decline of the league, such as the perceived quality of the games, number of games, hurricanes etc.

Yes. We agree.

But it doesn’t matter at all to the people that Trump/Pence were aiming their stunt at.

To the Trumpian target audience, who likely figure the stunt accusations to be part of the ongoing liberal communist mainstream fake media war on Trump and good old fashioned American values, Pence's actions will be most welcome.

No one's disagreeing

But that given it's intended audience have the mental capacity of a Blueberry Muffin, it will still have worked on them no matter how inept

Politically, NFL fans skew slightly right (& are also more likely to vote in general elections) so it's a very logical stunt that'll play well to its intended audience.

Women's basketball. :slol:

"We no can dunk, but good fundamentals. That more fun to watch."

WWE way down at the bottom for voter turnout presumably because only children watch it. It's also not a sport either so weird to be in list.

Also odd considering the industry is notably right-wing.
