This was a bunch of white supremacists, who set out to let everyone know that they are still there, and worst of all are not afraid to show it. As far as I can see, they've achieved their aims.
The match might have been called "Unite the right" but it certainly had nothing to do with bringing the whole of the right together into some moderate right middle ground. It's not about getting behind the old school Conservatives in the republican party. It all came about in order to defend a racist statue of a racist civil war General. This was uniting the extreme right, so they could make a show to people that they're here, and they're numerous.
Nazis like this only exist to promote violence against others not like them. Whilst an escalation in public violence which is likely to result from more of these marches and their counter marches is not a good thing, I certainly don't have a problem with anyone lamping an actual Nazi.
