Just saw a clip from this on BBC news, holy gooseberry fool what a mess. Trump gets so wound up so easily and just blurts gooseberry fool out, has absolutely no mental checkpointing going on. You can actually see the adrenaline kick in.

It'd be easy to say this is his most vulnerable, lowest point since the pussy grabbing tape was released, when Pence was reportedly ready to walk away.

But he still got elected anyway! What the strawberry float is it going to take?!

Excuse my ignorance on the full subject but I'm curious about something. I know the "black lives matter" campaign started because cops were trigger happy with black youths but how come if someone says "all lives matter" that they are labeled as being racist, surely all lives do matter? Could someone educate me a bit more on the subject

BLM was never about "black live matter more", it was dealing with a specific problem in America where black people get shot in disproportionate numbers.

ALM is the response to that. It is taking away the point of black people being murdered by the police by saying that there is no problem and all lives are equal. Of course all lives are equal, the point of BLM is that a lot of police do not seem to think that.

It's like if you were talking about the holocaust and somebody said "lots of innocent German's died!". Well, yeah, sure, but that's not the issue that was being raised is it?

I am sure some people say "all lives matter" and mean it in an innocent way. Usually though, it comes from the far right and is therefore tainted by the racists.

BLM was 'all lifes matter' really.

It was raising this issue that a disproportionate number of black people were being killed by police - something they thought indicate racial issues in the police forces.

You could call it 'black lives matter too' and still be accurate. It was trying to correct a perceived inbalance. It's detractors present it as 'black lives matter more' which it never was.

A genuine 'all lives matter' campaign isn't wrong - but a lot of people using it are trying to dismiss/handwave away the point being made by BLM about police caused deaths amongst different races

That's not a strawman, if you pull down General Lee's statue cus slavery, then you have to hold Washington and Jefferson to that same standard. They aren't nice slave owners because they had a bit of guilt about it. From memory Jefferson even had a reputation for flogging his slaves. These weren't nice people, despite what the nationalist propoganda about "founding fathers" might tell you.
