“Trump thinks Pence is great,” Bannon told me. But, according to a longtime associate, Trump also likes to “let Pence know who’s boss.” A staff member from Trump’s campaign recalls him mocking Pence’s religiosity. He said that, when people met with Trump after stopping by Pence’s office, Trump would ask them, “Did Mike make you pray?” Two sources also recalled Trump needling Pence about his views on abortion and homosexuality. During a meeting with a legal scholar, Trump belittled Pence’s determination to overturn Roe v. Wade. The legal scholar had said that, if the Supreme Court did so, many states would likely legalize abortion on their own. “You see?” Trump asked Pence. “You’ve wasted all this time and energy on it, and it’s not going to end abortion anyway.” When the conversation turned to gay rights, Trump motioned toward Pence and joked, “Don’t ask that guy—he wants to hang them all!”

If the Democrats take the House next year, they should look at undermining Pence at the same time they attack Trump.

Either way it's an odd time to think about politics.

When was the last time you were having the intimate relations and wondered "I wonder how the government will handle the fiscal deficit this year, that's going to really put a damper on any thoughts of a giveaway budget that they could use to bolster the popularity of the Conservative party.". I bet it was a while ago.

How do you solve the problem?
Higher taxes that may hamper growth or lower taxes that may have no impact on growth and you just have less money from tax or just send the SAS out to kidnap all the worlds billionaires and ransom them.

President gooseberry fool Stain strikes again:
Trump Falsely Claims Obama Didn’t Contact Families of Fallen Troops

President Trump falsely asserted on Monday that his predecessor, Barack Obama, and other presidents did not contact the families of American troops killed in duty, drawing a swift, angry rebuke from several of Mr. Obama’s former aides.

Mr. Trump was responding to a question about why he had not spoken publicly about the killing of four Green Berets in an ambush in Niger two weeks ago when he made the assertion. Rather than answering the question, Mr. Trump said he had written personal letters to their families and planned to call them in the coming week. Then he pivoted to his predecessors.

“If you look at President Obama and other presidents, most of them didn’t make calls,” Mr. Trump said during a news conference in the Rose Garden with the Senate majority leader, Mitch McConnell. “A lot of them didn’t make calls. I like to call when it’s appropriate.”

Mr. Trump’s assertion belied a long record of meetings Mr. Obama held with the families of killed service people, as well as calls and letters, dating to the earliest days of his presidency. Before he decided to deploy 30,000 troops to Afghanistan, Mr. Obama traveled to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware to greet the caskets of troops.

While Mr. Obama’s former staff members have grown used to Mr. Trump’s gibes about the “failure” of the Affordable Care Act or the “disastrous” Iran nuclear deal, they lashed out at his remarks on Monday with unusual bitterness.
“This is an outrageous and disrespectful lie even by Trump standards,” Benjamin J. Rhodes, a former deputy national security adviser to Mr. Obama, posted on Twitter. “Also,” Mr. Rhodes added, “Obama never attacked a Gold Star family.”

That reference was to the public feud Mr. Trump began with the parents of a Muslim American soldier, Humayun Khan, who was killed in Iraq in 2004. The soldier’s parents, Khizr and Ghazala Khan, appeared at the Democratic National Convention in 2016, where Mr. Khan criticized Mr. Trump.

Alyssa Mastromonaco, a former senior aide to Mr. Obama, used even stronger language on Twitter, calling Mr. Trump’s statement a lie — along with an expletive — and describing him as a “deranged animal.”

After he answered the question about his response to the attack, Mr. Trump was pressed later in the news conference about his claim that Mr. Obama had never called bereaved families. This time, he seemed to soften his tone.

“I don’t know if he did,” the president said. “I was told he didn’t often, and a lot of presidents don’t. They write letters.”

“President Obama, I think, probably did sometimes and maybe sometimes he didn’t,” Mr. Trump continued. “That’s what I was told. All I can do is ask my generals.”

This man in the Oval Office is a soulless coward who thinks that he can only become large by belittling others. This has of course been a common practice of his, but to do it in this manner–and to lie about how previous Presidents responded to the deaths of soldiers–is as low as it gets. We have a pathological liar in the White House: unfit intellectually, emotionally, and psychologically to hold this office and the whole world knows it, especially those around him every day. The people who work with this President should be ashamed because they know it better than anyone just how unfit he is, and yet they choose to do nothing about it. This is their shame most of all.

Dems need to go all in on this situation with Trump not calling the families. This will not play well with his base, if they are made aware of it. He's been golfing 5 times since the soldiers died, but he has not called them because it's difficult :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: .

If a President could be sacked for being a dickhead then he would have been gone immediately after the inauguration.

Unfortunately they need some hard evidence against him. Which I imagine will be there shortly, Trump is too crooked to not have done anything illegal and too stupid to have covered it up properly.

Of course that will mean President Pence. Who wants to hang gays and refuses to be alone in a room with any woman other than his wife.

Maybe Trump is actually a genius and has decided (as we have with Brexit) that if you turn the country into a shithole, then none of them foreign types will want to come and live there?

Kind of like if somebody asks you to make them a cup of tea, you make it as disgusting as possible so that they never ask you ever again.

Trump has solved immigration.

Edit:

I’d say his slogan should be “Make America gooseberry fool Again” but he can’t use MASA as that’s reserved for what black people will soon have to start calling white people.
