Does anyone know the longest one of these shutdowns has ever gone on for?

Epic trolling. I wonder if he thought of this himself or someone else.

Not nearly rambling enough to be Trump's work. I put it down to Stephen Miller.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to matter that the republicans hold everything some people will blame the democrats anyway and it doesn't help that they have a TV news organisation who will always blame the democrats as well.

Yeah, what I'm hearing is that the majority of the republicans want to pass the deal but a few Democrats are holding up everything and shutting down the government.

Of course none of this is the fault of the master negotiator.

So overnight, all of the US West Coast was receiving evacuation warnings for a Tsunami heading their way. Now looks like it'll just impact Alska.

Of course, Donny, had other important matters to attend to.

Missed this the other day. Love how in trying to find a great review of his first year he tweets an "A-".

He must be one of the worst people ever at negotiating as he does a deal and then gooseberry fools on the people he just worked with.
If he gets another 4 years after this display of utter ineptitude then I think we can safely say the US conservatives will vote for anyone as long as they can spout a bunch of shitty slogans and say they want to get the government out of the way.
It almost makes me want them to be able to create a new country in the US where they can live without government and do everything they claim they want and watch it crash and burn and them struggle to work out why when they're piling money on the rich and expecting trickle down economics to work miracles.

Obamacare is a prime example. Yes it may not be perfect but it's bound to fail when you have one party doing all they can to ensure it does fail and then pointing to the fact that it's failing as a reason to suggest the entire idea is stupid even though it works for the rest of the developed world.

I often think that if these libertarian, small government types actually believed the bullshit they peddle, they'd be clambering over the top of one another to see who could go and live in Somalia the quickest.

Do they not find it strange that if the system they want is so obviously fantastic why there isn't a country with zero government where everyone is ultra rich and smug as strawberry float?
There are plenty of islands they can buy and make it happen and they can invite Fox News to cover it and point out how everyone else is a strawberry floating idiot for not copying them.

They can have the entire city of Bristol for £200.

You missed the decimal point and £1.75 is still far more than it’s worth.

Suddenly the renewed emphasis on the memo and the missing texts makes sense .....

Lots of Republican interference on the Russia probe at the moment, especially towards the Nunes memo. Perhaps this is why ....

Still just doesn't feel like anything is going to actually stick to Teflon Don. If he genuinely thought the noose was tightening he'd just abdicate the throne and flee to Russia.
