And just one more (and this is ignoring the story Roger Stone has recently been to an embassy in London (you can probably guess which one)).

Think we could have seen this one coming. Donny claims his SOTU was most watched ever (45.6m). And of course it is utter nonsense.

That’s just US figures though, how many were watching it in Russia?

Now this is unexpected. Trump's SOTU lie called out by FOX NEWS!

Why are FOX being mean to the most favouritest handsomest and least corruptest President in the history of Presidents? Fake news! Sad!

Had he not tweeted the number (45.6m) he could have got away with it, because if you factor in international audiences and those (presumably) watching on social media it would probably produce enough leeway to claim it. But he did, so he's strawberry floated.

Rumor has it that Trump intends to use the Nunes Memo as the pretext for firing Deputy AG Rosenstein. He can then install a new Deputy AG who, assuming they're a Trump lackey, will be able to use their position to throttle the Russia investigation from within.

Mueller won't be fired, he'll be crippled.

Trump's doing a sterling effort of showing the system, one that is ultimately supposed to stop things going off the rails and hold the President to account, is broken. He's not Don The Con (Teflon Don?) for nothing.

For someone who states there has been no collusion, he sure is doing a lot to put barriers up for the investigation or deflect attention away from it.

He still won't survive this year.

This news that broke yesterday might go some way if Trump is going to fall.

Rick Gates legal team have all but one dropped out. The one remaining attorney is an expert in plea deals. If Gates flips, Manafort is in all sorts of trouble. If Manafort is in all sorts of trouble, well that's not very good news for Donny.

Whats Nunes' reason for being a total pile of Sh*t? I mean, they way he's acting is mental. If he's not being paid off to do this I'll be surprised but more over, why are the rest of the Republicans backing this craziness?

The Republican party has gone all Alex Jones' like WTF?

I just don’t see a way forward with the Republicans willing to empower Trump and ignore or stampede over all laws and checks/balances

Perhaps the campaign's sheer incompetence will still be his undoing. I am not convinced they hid the dodgy stuff very well.

That and his inability to not lash out when under attack, leading to obstruction could yet derail him.

But the GOP seem to be enabling him more not less, so it doesn't look great.

Yeah but none of that matters if the GOP undermine/neuteralise investigations...
