Also worth noting that according to the Commonwealth Fund 2017, the NHS has the "the best, safest and most affordable healthcare system" out of the following 11 countries analysed:

1. UK (9.9% GDP)
2. Australia (9% GDP)
3. Netherlands
4. Norway (9.3% GDP)
5. New Zealand (9.4% GDP)
6. Sweden
7. Switzerland
8. Germany
9. Canada
10. France (11.4% GDP)
11. United States (16.6% GDP)

This is brilliant. Benjamin Wittes (he of the Comey memos) just got pages and pages of info from the FBI following an FOIA request. It's all about what senior FBI leadership said when Comey got fired. I'll let you in on a little secret, it's not what Trump and Sarah Sanders suggested at the time ....

Until the next Democratic administration's DoJ locks them all up.

You have to understand just how delusional republicans and those that support them are.
You can point out obvious and easily refutable lies and they will just claim you're a stupid liberal who's part of some odd global conspiracy against US conservative values.
They can make gooseberry fool up and because they say it it becomes the truth for them because they are the real Americans fighting for the real America and anything they don't like is unAmerican and terrible.

It's literally like going up to a Spurs fan and trying to convince them Spurs are a cheating pile of gooseberry fool. They don't want reasoned debate and that's why they love Fox news who will gladly ask an Atheist to be a guest and spend the entire interview mocking and berating them and then wonder why they don't come back.

Has to go through FBI/DOJ (unlike the Rep memo) as well.

So it has now been confirmed, contrary to the Nunes memo, that the original FISA did note the political funding of Steele's dossier. It has been confirmed by ...... Devin Nunes :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: .

I don't usually get emotional watching documentaries, but last week's episode of Active Shooter: Charleston, SC 2015 on Sky Atlantic was a tough watch. Even the intro is hard hitting, as "biggest mass shooting in history" is replayed over and over again as the years go by, the latest always seeming to top the previous atrocity.

The Dow Jones collapse is hilarious, it's at about an 8% drop ATM. If this goes any longer it'll be over 10%. Although it'd probably be a good time to buy some shares, IMO.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

I would imagine that the fall has been caused by the Clinton's and Obama's. They will stop at nothing to wreck things for Donny.

It just shows how greedy some shareholders are when the prospect of actually giving people actual pay rises at a time of record profits and a huge tax break sends stock prices into a tailspin.

I thought it was more the threat of interest rate rises due to concerns about inflation (particularly with Trump deciding to push large amounts of money into a growing economy?)

The guy is hilarious in that he's completely bought into his own bullshit. He's an opinion piece presenter with an overwhelming sense of smugness and anger at anyone who dares to have a different opinion to him. He presents opinion as fact and then has the audacity to moan at people for presenting opinion as fact.

I'm so glad his type aren't allowed on UK news stations and our news is boring and just news.

He’s too mainstream for me. I take all my news direct from God-Emperor Trump’s glorious Twitter feed of REAL NEWS.

Just as with Alex Jones, Hannity isn’t stupid enough to believe all of his own bullshit. He knows that his brand of right wing bullshittery sells and that it makes him a lot of money. He doesn’t care that what he says isn’t true, he doesn’t care that it leads to hurting people. He gets money, that’s all he cares about.

Trump really doesn't understand that heads of state aren't supposed to act like complete twats on a daily basis.
It's like he doesn't realise that his own supporters are nutty enough to take his "Treasonous" remark as being deadly serious as they do with people who dare to kneel at the national anthem.
They scream for freedom of speech and how they love freedom until someone does something they don't like at which point they demand that they be locked up in prison.
