I'd buy it but it's probably more likely that it will be another cheap RE:0 style port, or that the rumour is complete bollocks.

Never played resi 2, I'd probably buy.....

....*Looks at game shelf*

...When the strawberry float did I buy Resi 2 on the GC?! Awesome! Job saved!

I really wouldn't. A gimped version of a better game available on other consoles, or a graphically-enhanced Resi 4-ed up version of a classic, exclusive to Wii? That's a ******* no-brainer for me.

Same.

But I do recall you tearing strips out of me calling a Wii version of Resi 5 gimped ;)

Time of the month, probably. I'm not sure it was quite like that though, suzz - I'm pretty sure there was more to it than that.

Nope I said I don't want a gimped version on Wii, I'd rather a new Resi game on the Resi 4 engine and you went nuts at me :(

I forgive you though.

RE0 was cheap?

I know they reused the REmake engine, but I think most people would be delighted to see RE2 get the REmake/RE:0 treatment.

Delighted isn't a strong enough word. Not strong enough by far. A REmake style Resi2 would involve several bodily fluids; probably simultaneously.

Capcom are going to run out of things to Wii-make at this rate.

I loved Gregory Horror Show, I'd be delighted if that actually happened!

That.

At Oxx - I think he was on about the port of RE:0 on Wii, rather than the lovely GC version(which I for one really liked).

I'd be interested. I never got round to buying it for the PS1 so it would be great to see it with a graphical update.

Or I could just pay a couple of pounds for a PS1 copy off eBay.

A Resi 4 version of Resi 2 = Bad
A REmake version of Resi 2 = Absolutely amazingly bonza!

Anything goes in a world where Capcom can port an Xbox 360 game to the Wii using an enhanced GameCube engine.

Sounds good to me, this is one remake the Wii could really do with.

Not sure about how I'd like to see the game laid out though, the original Resi Evil remake would be good but I think I'd miss the ability to aim properly from Resi Evil 4. The only way I could see it working was if all the corridors were made wider. :|

Resi 2 was probably my favourite game in the series. after that I fell out of love with it and even Resi 4 didn't really impress me.

I'd be up for a remake if it was as good as the Resi 1 Wii version.

Resident Evil 2 is probably my favourite game of all time, So a remake would be fantastic. I've always hoped that maybe they'd bring back the character of Elsa Walker who was replaced by Claire in the final game. A 3rd scenario with her as the main character would be a brilliant addition.
