The single player co-op was fine, though it could do with some tweaking in the AI department and possibly making it a 'knockout only' scenario so that your partner can only be knocked down (leaving a waiting time for them to get back up again) instead of killed - perhaps even giving them infinite ammo for the handgun to avoid the whole ammo-hogging situation.

Id be happy with remakes of them all.

Id also be happy with games that fill in the story as much as they can as there are massive gaps in between the ten years.

Where is Claire?
What the strawberry float happened to Barry?
Carlos?
Sherry?
We know wesker sold his soul but what was he up to in these years.

I need answers. :x

Oh and generally just a whole game based around LiN please.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Entire series needs a reboot, and it badly needs Mikami back.

I'd rather see something completely different to what we've already seen, truth be told. I'd also like to see fresh talent on it, not the same tired old faces that have already seen the series grow stale in two styles, then push away many fans in the third style.

I want Capcom to make good on its promise of moving away from the Umbrella/Wesker/STARS saga, hopefully introducing new faces and a whole new story arc into the mix.

Just slap some fancy-pants graphics on Resi 2 & release that.

It was generation too early, and with the success of co-op in Resident Evil 5 and the massive success of games like Left 4 Dead I'm amazed Capcom haven't rebooted it. It's a license to print money but they just don't seem interested.

Outbreak seems like the perfect game for the PSP.

Or 3DS going forward, although Capcom have more experience in the PSP engine work and could get a game done quicker. In Japan a Monster Hunter style co-op locally would sell well and make it online for everywhere else. I'd buy it day one.

Yeah this is what I'm talking about. I thought it would have been a no-brainer, but it's too late now.

I don't see why an Outbreak game couldn't be made for 3DS and PSN/XBLA. The PSP just isn't worth it now, it's basically a dead format.

What a lot of people still struggle to let go of is that the franchise is - from a gameplay perspective - completely different to what it used to be, and will most likely never go back. All of this talk of fan service is cute, and it's not as if Capcom need to worry about delivering any sort of compelling narrative. So yeah, let's have Claire Redfield or somebody back, because a swarm of internet geeks asked for it.

I'm surprised it took till page 3 for this. A co op mode is fine, but resi 6 needs a proper, solo single player mode.

I totally do this thing called StreetPass UK and it's real good like.

It really didn't 'ruin' the SP at all. Occasional glitches, like AI Sheva always standing too close to you, getting in the way and not being imaginative enough about her weapon selection are all minor quibbles set against the obvious benefit of having a constant AI buddy along for the ride to help even the odds (give Sheva just a sniper rifle and a handgun, take just a machine gun and shotty for yourself, concentrate on upgrading just those four constant weapons, and watch how it all plays out).

As for the new game - I agree a 'dead city' (ala 'I Am Legend') might be a great new direction with tons of new gameplay possibilities. I'm afraid Capcom probably have other ideas, sadly.

I bet Capcom give the 'zombies' guns and include a cover mechanic.

I wouldn't trust Capcom to make anything to get excited about in this day and age. Apart from the Street Fighter team, they are making so many bad decisions.

I totally agree here, Capcom is quickly becoming a joke at this point. I do hope the new 3DS Resident Evil isn't a part of this joke, though... :shifty:

Part of me wishes Capcom could merge elements of Dead Rising and Resident Evil together. I want the weaponry and scenarios from Resident, but I'd love to see thousands of strawberry floating zombies you get in the Dead Rising games.

Im suprised nobody ever tried to make a 28 days/weeks later game, It would be dead rising in a city. That would be awesome.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.
