The laptop e-mail basically makes it clear whoever was writing WAS infected, to some degree, and then cured (although it makes it sound like he's cured from mind contol)

It was also some time ago.

So if it's Lucas - he's "cured" from Eveline's influence, but still has "some abilities" abilities to heal etc.

If it's Zoe, it would explained why she's still after a real cure if the cure wasn't entirely complete.

After originally thinking it's Zoe, you talked me into it being Lucas. Which means he's out there with "stablised" abilities...

What happens when you give Zoe the serum? Does Mia still end up on the ship? Or do you play it as Zoe?

Its lucas, they use his name on the radio in the shack near the end.

Zoe dies on the boat, she's too far gone i think and just "solidifies, then you fight a slightly angry Mia just after you're rescued on the boat.

This has exceeded my expectations after not liking 5/6. Major Texas chainsaw vibes as well.

To those playing it on PC, what settings has everyone gone with? Definitely can't hit 1080p/60fps on max with this. Had to lower a few things to get it to maintain 60fps and it still looks better than the PS4 version, res scaler set to 1.7 as 2.0 knocks it down to about by 20fps and HBAO+ to SSAO. Even tried 30fps locked with everything on max but it doesn't feel right after going through the game on PS4 :dread: and normally 30fps doesn't bother me as I'd rather the looks over the performance.

1080p/60 with everything maxed, but res scaler set to 1. Also, there is an annoying shimmer on certain surfaces, so reflections are out.

My God, this game is beautiful! I love my pc.

I've only played the demo (I decided to get it on PS4 for VR and Trophies) but it is really well optimised for me. I can play at 4k with everything maxed and still get 60fps which is madness!

With scaler set to 1 it doesn't look great, looks so washed out but then I didn't try at 1 with everything else to the max :?

Will have to try increasing res scale...

Jordan, do you increase the res scale to output 4K?

Actually gave it a try this morning before rushing off to work with res scale set to 1 and it's one of the options that changes from interlaced to normal that makes a difference to how washed out it looks and it was fine then apart from HBAO+ needing to be changed to SSAO. The res scaler is it downsampling or something.

I've heard this is a really challenging game. Is there an easy mode for useless strawberry floats like me or should I just save my money do Pony simulator 3?

That sentence below is not a comical lie.

Rapidly-greying is Mediocre to Average at games :fp:

I wouldn't say it's difficult at all. I played on normal and only had problems with the bosses but that had nothing to do with their difficulty, more their bad design.

There is an easy mode, yes.

I had no bother with any bosses apart from the first. You're just not very good chalky.

One shot every boss other than Jack.

You're terrible.

As stop changing your post titles to Chalkitdown. It's so odd.
