Almost exactly my time, I was maybe a minute to one side of it. It's been a good ten years since I got through this all the way though, so I'm going for a 2hr30 run next with no saves. I did get killed in the Aqua Ring because I forgot how to sort the shutters and drain the water. :fp:

I managed a normal run on 2hr30 with no saves, then thought I'd go for a hard mode run last night for the trophy.

Streamed it, took my time, messed with the closet key area- still ended up with a time of 2hr50

I was well chuffed. Hard mode and Starsenal trophy unlocked, on 80% conplete now.

Only see the real survivor, invisible enemy and knife only runs being the remaining challenges.

Warning though folks- don't do what I did- only use one save file for both Chris and Jill. I used separate save slots in the game for them, and Al the trophies unlock/modes weapons unlock, but I don't have a file where every costume is unlocked now- I have to load each one separately to get at the different costumes.

This of course means I have to go back through Chris another two times on my Jill save file for it all to be unlocked in one place !

I saw your post about Rebecca and plant 42 as well, you can actually get Rebecca to make V Jolt for you, but you need to not save Richard- and therefore not get the Assault Shotgun to do it

If you don't give Richard the serum, you get held by plant 42, and you toss Rebecca the V Jolt file so she runs off and makes it and kills it for you. Very helpful in a knife only run...!!

It was the part where she screams when I'm back in the mansion. I thought at least a cut scene, or map marker, would show me where she was.
Instead, I got to the labs in the end with a gnawing feeling that I'd forgotten something, then suddenly I was like 'oh gooseberry fool!' :lol:

Yeah, after I clocked it I loaded up an earlier save to get the proper ending. Great, great game, will hopefully beat it on Hard mode one day.

I think I've started chris on hard mode...I can't get past the dogs :fp:

It's a shame games aren't made like this anymore. Imagine what they could do with this type of game now.

I like this but I actually prefer the original RE because that one I can just play and enjoy wheres this one just strawberry floats me up.

Or firing a shotgun when you're carrying the fuel canister

Hard mode really does limit your ammo mind, even with Jill, you've barely any shotgun,grenade or Magnum ammo. Where they would normally spawn, you tend to find Handgun rounds, or where handgun rounds would be- there's nothing...!

Really takes away the number of blue herbs too, so if you're poisoned (strawberry floating SNAKES IN THE COURTYARD) it can be a real issue if you're unprepared.

I completely forgot how to do that exact 'puzzle' as well the first time :shifty:

Doing a hard mode speed run and got cunted by a Crimson in the lab that I wasn't expecting and had to try and take with my pistol as I'd left my heavy weapons stored for item space. :fp:

Nice one, can you use infinate launcher in real survivor/invisible enemy?

Got a perfect start to my second speedrun attempt of the day, not a single zombie bite throughout the first part of the mansion, no missed items, nothing... and the game froze just before Lisa Trevor's shack. Clearly someone or something doesn't want me to win at this game.

I will prevail. Tomorrow.

Completely emptied my diddy shotgun of ammo (because I'm efficient like that) so I could use my assault shotgun. Go to switch out the old one for my shotgun ammo at an item box, games puts six rounds into it instead.

So I can't post a reply the normal way as Im getting an error message.

I started again with Chris, and I'm confused. When I intially picked Jill, I picked the middle one of those questions which I assume is normal? Then once I'd beat the game I started through the "once again" mode as chris and selected normal, to which I found zombies everywhere... :dread:

so I started again, with Chris, but selected new game and the Middle one again, I'm now finding there a no zombies anywhere :slol:

and the game seems much more forgiving.

When I save the writing in the typewriter is also green..does this mean it's on easy? :shifty:

Just finished a Chris run, not too shabby but not perfect. Think I'll try and finish it as quickly as possible now but I'll use the samurai edge for ease, before I try to tackle real survival. Seeing the modern Chris in the original mansion setting feels so bizarre. But cool too.

Prick recreates Resident Evil 2 in unreal engine for his own private amusement.
