Terranigma goes for a fair bit, at least when last I checked.

That copy looks in really good condition too. Every weekend this topic gets bumped I find myself gravitating towards ebay to buy things I won't (/can't) even use.

Gee... Andy rides up and slams down two classic RPGs to launch the Weekender! You've done well to get these highly-sought games in such great condition, Andy. Have you played through them yet?

I completed Illusion of Time when it first came out. It's such a fun action RPG with great charm and humour.

As for Terranigma, it's an epic game (in all senses - all will become clear when you play it). I actually got to the last boss, but simply cannot beat it...it's way too tough.

It's a shame that the first game in this "trilogy" (Soul Blazer), never got a UK release. The German release is quite common (but again, in-game German text only)...but that's ok for me as I speak fluent German :)

Nintendo UK really shafted UK PAL gamers in the days of the SNES - a lot of games got European release, but never made it to the UK (especially RPGs)...The SNES was never as popular as the Megadrive over here...but it was huge in France and Germany, which also got a lot of special editions which never made it to the UK.

Just showing off a few of my favourite PS1 games.

Valkyrie Profile is pretty expensive these days. I ended up paying £4 each for Valkyrie, Klonoa, Parasite Eve + Strider 2 in one of my best ever eBay wins

Don't think I'll get a chance to share anything this weekend, but I've enjoyed the submissions so far :D

I played illusion of time on the SNES, it was good. I wonder if my mate sold it. He never forgave me for not plating super Metroid through when lending me his console, that I've now completed. 8-)

Hound, that is a lovely selection of PlayStation goodness! Four quid for some of those titles is tremendous! I have Strider 2 in PAL format and it comes as a double disc presentation, containing Strider 1 and 2; is the USA version the same? I don't have Klonoa and that is hard to find - and expensive - now. I do have it on the Wii, though, and that version is also pretty hard to acquire.

Thanks for sharing such a variety of gems in the Weekender!

Just the one picture from me this weekend. Not sure how popular the game was back in the day but it seems like a bit of a hidden gem in my opinion.

Apologies if the image is huge, doing this on my phone through the gooseberry fool imgur app.

Colony Wars! That's a series that I wanted to try out but never actually picked up. I don't think the first one was a big seller and it was, perhaps, surprising to see the Vengeance sequel. They always looked like great shooters to me.

Nice photo, Preezy. Is your PlayStation setup and ready-to-use? Due to space challenges I don't have any machine older than my 360 setup at the moment... I may have to take a look at rectifying that.

It's not plugged in ready to go, but the cables are all connected to the tv and power so all I ever have to do is lift the console out of my coffee table drawer and it's ready.

My current fully-ready-to-play consoles are my PS4, N64 and SNES. I'm trying to find a configuration that'll work to squeeze my Gamecube in but space is at a premium!

In CEX at the moment, they are selling the SNES for £135 and the few games they have are selling for between £12 and £38. Interestingly, Megadrive is only going for £38. Going to have to do a stock take of my SNES stuff...

Yep! It comes with both games. There was a common printing error and Strider 2 is on the Strider 1 disc and vice versa. Cracking game though.

I have wario blast on GB.. 93% from CVG  It gets old pretty fast but I didn't know it had super game boy support. I'll try that out.

Gameboy Batman  I loved that game. I'm also convinced I got the highest score ever in it. As I killed the Joker his last bullet hit me, so got to kill him again and got a tonne of points!

Also, Cybernator
