Up until sandopolis act 2, the game is fantastic, then it just suddenly becomes a never ending stream of traps and instant death blind drops. strawberry floating awful way to end the game.

Wrong, Sonic 3 and Knuckles is the pinnacle of the series.

It bums me out that we will probably never see a good Tony hawk style skating game again. Messing about with the first one and it's so addictive. All they had to do with 5 was keep it simple but they cocked it up.

I just watched the second part of DF's look at the 32X and it is excellent. Sure, the games seem - perhaps more than - a bit clunky nowdays, but they were great first experiments with 3D, textures, polygons and FMV. The dual processing of the Mega Drive and the 32X is pretty unique, too, and the video shares many cool slices of info.

Also... it's exciting to hear that DF will be taking a look at all of the console versions of Doom in September .

I've been playing the GBA version of THPS 2 recently. I'm still amazed they made such a good version for a handheld. There are occasional issues with perspective when going for tricks/items, but it's not too frustrating. The only other issue is getting used to using shoulder buttons for grabs and flips rather than face buttons, not sure why they did that. I may have to scour second hand shops for a copy of the PS2 version, from this and a quick dabble on HD I've got the bug again!

Got it out to charge the battery as I heard if you leave it too long it can stop working. Hope its ok.

Used to have more games for it but traded them as I didn't think I'd replay them. Only one I regret is Fusion.

That is a nice selection of GBA gear, Ste - the micro version always did look very smart. The games you have may be light in terms of quantity, but for quality it's right up there. They appear to be in nice condition, too - even accounting for Wario busting out the side of that Wario Ware Inc box .

Oh, man, that screen would have been "the ultimate" back in the day! Such a beast, though - you need a fair amount of space to place it and moving it requires two people . Lovely stuff, Jamo, and your retro games are gonna look terrific on it.

I got Wario and AW pre-owned so the boxes are in worse condition than the other games I bought new.

Yeah, it was definitely a top of the range CRT back in the day, don't think it's quite up to PVM standards but then you're talking the difference between paying £1.30 or £200 for something. You're right, it's an absolute beast - It was so heavy, had to take a mate over to collect it and it filled the boot and backseat of my car! Hurt my back lifting it too but it's definitely worth it. I had been considering picking up an OSCC or Framemeister so I could stick to one TV, but they're far too costly.
