I especially like the pre-order case. Didn't know that existed.

In terms of leaving Hyrule field, do you just mean on 3DS? Or ever?

Yeah, it's a nice wee trinket! It's not particularly "valuable" but it does look great.

Haha, it's a bit of an old joke here in GR, Sandy. I have played Ocarina a fair amount but I've never got further than the stage where Link becomes adult Link. At that point I wandered out into Hyrule Field and... uhm... just took a break, really. I was motivated to get to that stage by the famous "GRcade Plays.... Ocarina of Time" event back in 2015.

I think you've made it further in BOTW.

Check out my YouTube channel!

Looking through those pics was a serious nostalgia trip! I remember when I got my copy of OOT on N64. That black box with gold print!

Sadly being a kid I threw the box in the bin and shoved the game straight into my N64.

Also that 3DS is beautiful! I've seen a couple up for sale and have always been tempted by one. I also love the Hyrule shield 2DSXL they released recently. I wonder if Nintendo will acknowledge OOTs birthday with something?

I have maybe 12 or more issues of ONM in not brilliant condition I would be happy to pass on for say £1 each and postage jawa mostly GameCube era, so that layout and the redesign after that. The only magazine I really want is NGC.

Speaking of magazine. I am missing issue 12 of Cube magazine. If I get it I'll have a full collection. I need it.

There is a company that does the rounds at the retro videogame get togethers which specialises in selling old magazines. If anywhere is likely to have it, it's those guys.

Hey, Gecko, thank you for the offer. I moved away from Nintendo during the GC and Advance era, becaming an Xboxian in that period! My collection of Nintendo Official Magazine runs through to 2001 and then, during the Wii era, I collected Official Nintendo Magazine from around 2009 onwards. I appreciate your gesture though, dude  .

I had a quick Google but couldn't find a list of traders from previous events. The event is called "Video Game Market" but the trader list for upcoming events seems small at the moment. Sorry dude.

Just hit the Gamecube jackpot! My mate is emigrating to Australia in the new year and was chatting with him over a few beers. He mentioned he's not taking any of his gaming collections as he simply has too much stuff to move and would be too costly. I asked him what Gamecube stuff he had. Turns out he has a black console, 6 controllers (plus boxes), the modem expansion plus 30 games all with boxes and paperwork in them. Included in the collection are some very desirable games too. He wants them to go to someone who will look after them and use them so he's doing an amazing price for the lot! Picking up at the end of the month!

He's got a Dreamcast collection and a pop vinyl collection he's looking to move on too. Sadly I don't have room to pick them up too.

Tis very tempting! Especially when I never owned a Dreamcast but always went round my friends to play... Will try and work it past the wife :slol:

Don't miss out on the dreamcast, I'd take that over the GameCube.

My focus is collecting for Gamecube otherwise I would. He's got 2 boxed Dreamcasts with 4 VMUs with their boxes plus 7 or 8 games all cased and manuals in great condition. I will see what kind of price he wants for them but as I said Gamecube is my focus right now.

Sounds like a perfect start to a collection... let us know if there's anything you don't want.

The broadband converter is interesting, you can still play PSO online if you hack your gamecube and use community servers, also you can set up LAN play with Mario Kart 8 and Kirby's Air Ride. Never done it as even at the time the adapter was £35 which for 3 games requiring a double of the set up wasn't worth it (and PSO had an additional subscription; I've never really been into MMOs).

The GB player (and the link cable) is probably the most indispensable accessory for the cube (besides a memory card 251 obviously).

Will do! What's the rules on me advertising stuff for sale on my mates behalf? He's got until the new year to find a home for his collection but he wants to sell to groups as he wants it to go to a good home and not just sold off.
