Nice haul, DS.

@Gemini, 1080 and Wave Race are very decent, you'll enjoy those.

Cool. I enjoyed both on the N64, but never got around to the GC sequels.

Great stuff, Doom!

I'll try and dig out some stuff from the cupboard. It may not be spectacular this time but, then again, it doesn't have to be... just sharing a few bits and pieces is cool :-) .

I know we're not classing PS3 as proper retro just yet, but these were the last three games I bought and they are classics and with prices of PS3 games not spiking just yet now's a good time to snap them up.

Depending how you look at it the PS3 retro era could begin 2020 when the new gen is dropped. As more generations are released I think there will be more classifications for older games. 8 bit era will be come "classic" gaming, 16 and 32 and maybe 64 bit could be retro gaming then 128 bit into the 360 and ps3 could be pre modern gaming?

I can see your pics, Gemini :toot: . The Shadows of the Damned artwork looks cool and I noticed that your Ico / Colossus pack is the American version... I'd forgotten that the PS3 is region free. Nice going, dude!

Sorted I can see them now! Awesome pickups! I never owned a PS3 but it's a system I wouldn't mind exploring. You're right as well. Now is the time to pick up games. 10 years time it will be all the rage!

Yeah it's a cool feature the PS3 being region free. I prefer the US box art to the PAL version below.

God I forgot how hideous those PAL Classics HD covers were!

Ironic as we got the far better PS2 cover for Ico

Had some graphical issues if I remember correctly, but always thought it was a bit underrated. It's surprisingly good fun.

I've just fired up Wii mode on my Wii U and have seen that I have 6200 points left :toot:

Can't really think of much that I'd go for, so just wondering if anyone had any suggestions to try out. Already got the DKC Trilogy, the Sonic Master System games, the mainline Mario titles, the SNES big hitters, etc.

Might pick up some things like Chrono Trigger*, Super Mario RPG or Mario Picross, or titles on the Wii U VC to get the upgrade discount. Don't have anything on the PCE or Arcade sections, so will have a look.

* Really been tempted to replay this since the PC version came out

Osito... prepare yourself for Tomena Sanner :toot: . One-button wai wai action! Jump over things... dance past things... laugh at things! It's... sensational!

Isn't the Wii shop totally closed down? Even on Wii U.

Found out about the handwriting function on google translate today despite having used the app for years.
Nothing is really in the way of me playing my imports now outside of the super famicom's low resolution.

Used Zelda to practice this idea. I've been book studying Japanese for 10 hours a week recently but I might start putting some of that time towards playing some of my RPG's such as the Japan only Fire Emblem games.

I've noticed it's often included in "best underrated games for Gamecube" videos. It's on my list of games to play. Just need to get round to it!

I never got to the end of the game, but I remember the first few stages being quite colorful and Sega-esque.

From what I remember, they maybe rushed it out to make Christmas and hadn't tested it thoroughly. There were a few times where your egg didn't hit the rails properly and would fall through. It might have been the circus level that was the main culprit.

It's worth picking up and trying out. It's quite Dreamcast-y and still fairly quirky and unique.
