Picked this mag up a couple of times whenever I flick through it and see something interesting. The features never fail to be interesting and informative regardless of whether or not I've played or even heard of the games or systems they cover.

Anyone here collect classic/retro games? Where are the best places to go hunting for the ultra rare titles? I'd imagine Ebay and your local car-boot sale would be a good place to start, but other than that, are there some hidden websites I should be checking?

Carboots are best. I learned loads from buying at carboots, I learned all the good and bad games and it didn't cost me too much and I got a lot of money back from selling the unwanted stuff and spares on.

How did you find out what was the good and the bad amongst your car-boot finds? Did you use eBay to sell them on? In terms of retro games, what 'period' did you search for and found sold the best - for example: PSone, SNES, or further back, C64 etc.

I learned what games were good by buying them taking them home and playing them, there was no set "era" I just tried out what ever as long as it was cheap.

I really need to start checking out car boots. Getting up that early is the problem :shifty:

Ebay is usually the most convenient way, even though you can pay a premium on certain titles. It's not as bad as some make out though, I've gotten a lot of hidden gem games on there relatively cheaply.
