* Except I'm not sure if the character is called Rockford in this NES version... he doesn't look like the Rockford that appeared in the Atari and C64 original!

I woudl quite like boulderdash to win too, I'm pretty sure we had it back when I was in year 2 or 3 at school. The teachers know it was on the computer "somewhere" and could never get it to work, I figured it out and then started playing it whenever I could because I could.

Shortly after I was being sent about the school to set up programs for teacher who had a computer but had no clue what to do with it so never used it.

It was me, and he was called Rockford in the NES version

I think the NES version is a bit more colourful and cutesy than the originals.

With only an hour and 15 minutes left can Ducktales or Batman take the lead from Boulderdash?

My awful attempt at Boulder Dash.

Will give this a watch at work today. Shame I missed it s is the game I played as a kid at school so would have been awesome to see it live!

Trust me, you didn't miss much, just me doing really badly.

I won't be doing a random pick this week as I will be picking the 3 games as we've gone back through the list of everyone. I will think of what 3 games I shall put up soon.

OK, guys, the poll is up and everyone should get voting. I've chosen 3 NES games that should be fun to watch. Mega Man 2 as it's ace, Batman again as it's ace and Blaster Master as I've never played it and it looks good, going by the speed runs I have seen.

Batman is amazing...but incredibly hard. I will be surprised if you get past the second level, if that...

I have played it before and can get to the 3rd I think. It has those big jumping bastards in it.

Yes, that sounds like Level 3. I know this game inside out - one of my favourite NES games of all time.

I got all the way to the Joker when I was 12 or so...but could never beat him. Impossible.

You should watch a speed run. There's a certain spot you stand and you can spam him to death.

I'm not sure the "adult" me would have the patience or skill to go through all that trauma again.

I might have a bash on the game tonight - my NES is currently hooked up to an old-school CRT in my bedroom

Seriously check out the batman speed runs, it's usually completed in less than 10 minutes.

Just had a quick peak, but only at the Joker...amazing.

It probably took me about a year of playing the game before I finally got to the Joker... :fp:
