Make sure you watch the Arnie Conan film beforehand, because the devs sure as hell had been.

ps. I like Golden Axe quite a bit :D

I never really clicked with Golden Axe myself. Enjoyed it certainly, but never thought it was anything particularly special.

Clearly not that much, I don't see the most recent one there.

Had it, got rid of it.

Capcoms D&D series was the sequel I wanted.

It's pretty bad but by all accounts the worst version is the PS2, SEGA AGES version, which aside from a pretty sweet soundtrack remix has no redeeming qualities.

As is often the case with these things, it had a very short period of relevance, post Double Dragon. A brief window of glory in the arcade. A lot of shonky home computer conversions, a very brief window of relative awesomeness on the Master System, and then it was pretty much eclipsed by first Final Fight on SNES and then it's slightly expanded Megadrive port, was eclipsed by the Streets of Rage series, to join Altered Beast in the realms of the fondly remembered, if unspectacular early Megadrive System16 ports.

I do really love that soundtrack, though.

It's a decent game, too, though it doesn't really feel right playing a game like that without two players and twin sticks, imo.

OK, it turns out that I have a Christmas concert to go too tonight. I should be back by 8, but the baby sitter (brother in law) may be here after I get back for a bit, and I'm not the kind of person to ignore them and stream, so I'll either be streaming late (if there's no MK,) or it'll be retro Tuesday this week, sorry. Will still need the votes to be in by 7, though.

I'm going to go make my own retro thread, with blackjack, and hookers, etc.

Even if I was back in time the poll was 6 a piece. So it's a tie anyway. What to do? What. To. Do?
