Didn't have or ever play "3d Pool", but put a lot of time into Dungeon Master (87 I think) and Oids. I think my favourite ST game was probably Steel Empire, but no one else seems to have heard of that. So many wonderful titles of that era that people simply didn't know about.

Everyone knows about me swapping Banjo Tooie with OOT and their parents selling it by this point. Worst trade ever.

I once lent someone Virtua Racing (32X) and the cheeky bastard went and traded it in, I eventually got them to replace it but the replacement was in extremely poor condition and reeked of cigarettes and dogs.

:dread: I'd be well mad if that happened to my black GameCube that still has that out of the box, Made in Japan smell. Day 1 for eternity. :toot:

Few things I've done rather stupidly:

Sold a working SNES, ALTTP, Mario All-Stars and SMW to Skarjo for something like £50, just before prices really blew up on eBay.

Traded in Ikaruga for Metroid Prime - not a terrible decision, but Ilaruga is now fairly expensive.

Traded in Mario Party, Majora's Mask, countless other N64 games as a kid because it was the only way to get new games - I hugely regret it now and have spent a few years rebuilding my N64 collection.

Traded a mint copy of Tombi and a mint copy of Kula World for the PS1 for buttons.

Nothing too spectacularly bad.

Basically the games I traded in during the Gamecube era. I was trading in N64, Game Boy and Gamecube games, some of which are hard to get hold of now. Most of them I've managed to replace but it will always irritate me that I've ended up with someone else's second hand copy when I had an original one which I'd owned from new.

Of the Gamecube games I sold, Four Swords adventure irks me most. I own it again now but not the big box version and the prices for that have skyrocketed. Skies of Arcadia Legends and Ikargua are two others as well, although I've seen repurchased both of them.

Another big one is Pokemon Red, the first Pokemon game I bought and I had the game, box, manual all in excellent condition. I may still have the box and manual somewhere but the game is definitely gone. I still have Blue (and got rid of Red because I didn't think it was worth keeping both) but as daft as it sounds given they're basically the same game it doesn't hold the same value for me.

On the plus side, best one I ever did was a trade with someone at school. I traded him Clayfighter for the N64 and he gave me Conkers BFD. Still got it to this day. :slol:

My word!

I have never played on a Vectrex and I'd like to one day.

My cousins used to have a Vectrex and I'd try and play on it (along with their Casio keyboard 8-) ) whenever I went round theirs. I often wonder what they did with it and find myself looking on ebay to buy one on a whim.

Until I see the prices :dread:

Isn't Clayfighter on N64 pretty valuable these days?

Not even a little bit. Goes for about a tenner.

The US only Clayfighter Sculptor's Cut, on the other hand, is one of the rarest NTSC N64 games. A boxed copy goes for silly money, because it was a rental only game and most of the boxes were flattened and binned by the Blockbusters and whatnot who rented them out.

Ah right, that's what I must have been thinking of, cheers!

I only know this because I've got my eye on a PAL copy of Clayfighter on eBay just now :slol:

Nothing too bad for me, but I'm in the same boat where I traded a lot of my N64 games in to get other ones as a kid, so slowly ate away at my collection.

I also really regret selling Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, although I did get £60 for it on eBay a few years back.

But that's perfectly normal, and nothing to regret. :) We bought the game at the time to play them, and not collect them.

N64 games were also incredible expensive!

Never traded a game in and never sold a console so I have no regrets thankfully. Sometimes being a crazy hoarder pays off. I do have desire to now display all of these old games so I need to think of some way to arrange my games room to squeeze an extra dvd rack in there. Champagne problems!

Not so much traded, but hand-me-downs to neices and nephews.

Mega Drive W/Mega CD with about 30 games (rocket knight adventures, gunstar heroes) which they broke within a month.

Game Gear with about 10 or so games.

I didn't buy it but I once saw a virtual boy for £15. I really want one because I think they look really cool.

I sold a lot of original xbox games to get newer stuff but nothing worth much and I have replaced it all for a lot less than I sold it for since.

I do sometimes regret selling Gotcha Force for Gamecube.. I spent £12 on it and sold it for £40. I really didnt like it as a game but still kind of wish id just kept it.

I did have a few games stolen off me by my X wife most of which I replaced but I have yet to replace Monster Rancher for the PS1 and that upsets me.
