Just listened a bit more. It's true what you (suzzopher I think) said about the Mario Bros music; it's organic to the game. Shame you didn't mention Banjo-Kazooie's soundtracks when thinking about other cases where it happens!

Also, here's a proper jazz version of the Mario Bros 2 music, just because:

And played by the same band on a street.

Thanks for the feedback guys (on both episodes 1 and 2). It's a shame 2 didn't get as much attention as hoped, but we've definitely learned a lesson regarding the length. Not being able to shut up easily about old games, I'll take the blame for that  Our next episodes will definitely be a little less 'huge'.

You definitely had a point about BK's soundtrack Turok, I never thought of it that way, but thinking about that game's music in my head, I can't do it without visualizing the levels they accompany! And  at those Mario 2 performances.

I suppose I should listen to Episode 1 at some point...

:shifty:

EDIT - Not on the iTunes feed anymore. Oh well, as I'm lazy I'll just start at Episode 2 for now.

Do you talk about N64 Magazine? Because I won't bother listening if you don't talk about N64 Magazine.

Bah! Arcade wasn't fit to wipe Maximum's god like arse. Maximum was the finest multi format games magazine ever made. Closely followed by CVG (circa 1995-1999).
That's a fact.
Check it oot! -

It is. Went there yesterday, they had a Dreamcast for sale also. And loads of old Spectrums. And an Atari 2600. 8-)

Not that many games though, though they did have a copy of Punch-Out! for the NES.

£17. Maybe £18. Boxed, but the box wasn't in great condition. Dunno if it has a manual or not. Want me to get a picture if possible?

The website isn't that good. If you check the various Games consoles segments, they've got 0 products in any of them, even though I've seen physical evidence that would contradict this.
