I'm glad someone managed to bang one out, I keep failing in my attempts.

Schminky, you know what this means. You know what we have to do.

EDIT: By the way, to the people moaning about sound quality issues - I have to defend them to the hilt on this - I know from experience that it's incredibly difficult to record a podcast on Skype or any other piece of software where the people talking aren't in the same room - unfortunately sound quality will always take a hit. Don't expect it to be perfect and I'm sure you'll get along with the podcast just fine. I'll be downloading it when I get in from Uni today, and this has spurred me into trying to get the contemporary podcast off the ground for a third(or is it fourth? Fifth?) time in the near future. :D

Listening to it now, just over an hour in. Even though I've not played most of the games you talk about, I still find it pretty interesting on other levels, like how you all seem to be reminiscing combined with the modern method of being able to download these games now on Virtual Console etc.
One thing I'd say is you covered maybe too many games? And they were all really well-known. If you do that every time, I dunno, might run out of things to talk about soon-ish. After all, games only become retro once a new generation of consoles begins.

But yeah really good guys. Jazzem you sound so much like Yahtzee!

If I can make a suggestion without having listened(I'm not sure of the format), you guys should pick a few key games that you're going to discuss in the podcast and build it around that. I'm not too good at explaining myself, but say if you picked Perfect Dark when it gets rereleased, you could then obviously bring in stuff like Goldeneye, Rare's other output, stuff like that while you're chatting. That might be good. Anyway, downloading now and looking forward to it!

There seemed to be some lag between people talking in the first segment but it seemed to clear up after a while.

I enjoyed it, was good for a first try. There were times when it turned into the Suzz and Jazz show, and Mafro stayed quiet for ages, but was a very solid start. I had problems hearing Suzz at times, but it was mostly fine. I liked how there were sections where no-one had played the games you were talking about (thinking of Silent Hill here  ), and you covered a good range of stuff. I liked the Castlevania section in particular, and it has convinced me to get Ecclesia (no idea how to say it either), as I loved Dawn and Aria, but really didn't like PoR, like Suzz. Maybe next time pick games that you've all played, so everyone can contribute. Feel so sorry for Suzz and his Snes collection, did you ever build the collection back up?

The Castlevania section was strong in particular, as everyone had played some of the games, and there were a lot of games to cover. Maybe, while you're still finding your feet, stick to the larger game franchises, and get everyone involved? Maybe a game of the week/fortnight/month, something from VC/wiiware/XBLA, that everyone will be able to go through?

Either way, well done guys, and keep it up.

I've only ever properly played two Castlevania games so most of that discussion was lost on me.

I was watching Generation Kill in the background while they discussed it :shifty:

Good stuff guys. The main problem right now is obviously the sound but I know from experience how much of a pain in the arse it can be to get consistantly good, balanced audio quality over skype. By the end of the first Radio Radar, the audio was so out of sync that Kev, Aaron and Ben were answering questions before I'd even asked them so this is professional by comparison ;)

Chemistry between the participants is the most important thing and you obviously have that so keep it up and roll on episode 2!

Just seen this, sounds good and it's got Chris the banana split and Jazz involved so it's at least 2/3 good.

Will give at listen now

Excitebike 64

One of my most played 64 titless that, absolutely loved it, so much to do and so hard on the more difficult settings, plus the bonuses, tricks, track editor.

Pulllllll the Kobé 8-)
