I just picked up Curse for £2.06 on Steam. It’s time.

The first three are a good time. I'm a little envious of you getting to play them for the first time.

I remember loving Monkey Island even before I'd played it. One of my mates in Primary School had an Amiga and would talk to me about it and it sounded amazing. Then you'd see it in magazines and on Gamesmaster or something. Finally got my first PC when I was 10 and with it a dodgy cracked copy of the Secret of Monkey Island. :wub:

I think it was the first PC game I ever played and I've loved Point and Clicks ever since.

Oh, I played 1 and 2 back on the Amiga at launch (and have played them numerous times on Xbox 360 and PS3 since, still have a boxed copy of MI2). It's just Curse that I never had an opportunity to play before.

I'd love to be able to have my memory of monkey island wiped so I could play the first three games again not knowing anything about them.

You're in for a treat, especially as you've got the first two games for less than the price of a sandwich!

Yep, 2 of the all time greats. Interesting to hear how a “newcomer” finds them all these years (though even playing with the classic graphics and music still spares all the “fun” of the disk juggling.

I'm trying to remember if I played 2 but I think I only ever played the original :shock:

I started playing 2 after my run through of the first. I'm sure I've played it before but I don't remember any of it so far. Got stuck already though
