Good news, Pointless fans: Richard Osman will soon be going solo and fronting his own celebrity teatime quiz.
The BBC has commissioned Richard Osman's House of Games, which will air on BBC Two.
The new show will see celebrities pitted against each other to test their quiz knowledge in a succession of fast-paced rounds of knowledge-based games.
Richard will then be on hand to cross-examine the competitive celebrities as they attempt to show off their quizzing skills.
Furthermore, each show will finish with a quick-fire round deciding the daily winner, culminating in the week's champion being crowned on the Friday.
"The show is going to be great fun," Richard enthused.
"Lots of great rounds, lots of competitive celebs, lots of surprises, and, most importantly, so much to play along with at home."
"Richard Osman's House of Games is a unique collection of innovative, clever play-along trivia rounds," added Richard Hague, Head of Entertainment at Remarkable Television.
"In the very capable hands of Richard, each game is a proper test of knowledge – and with a returning cast of celebrity contestants building warmth and camaraderie throughout the week, this entertaining new format is the ultimate feel good quiz for BBC Two."
Sounds great! We can't wait to see how it goes down.
Richard Osman's House of Games will air on BBC Two later this year.
This is very much my baby. Lots of the games are designed by myself and my colleague. I think you'll all really like it because its more smart than dumb! Its a relief to finally have it announced. Should be on in September.
