It is on like Donkey Kong folks!! Personally my heart says Hatton ... but my head says Malignaggi on points!! I think if it goes beyond the sixth with Hatton not exerting his power then Malignaggi is gonna out point in him with his higher work rate in the later stages of the fight!

discuss .....

I think Malignaggi, Hatton has been a bit shakey for the last few fights.

Hatton seems to have that 'fire back him in again. Malignaggi last performance was average at best. If Hatton has still got he magic, he'll do this.

Points - Ricky Hatton

C'mon Ricky!!

It's a long shot but I'm going for a double knock out in round 7 for a draw.

I think Hatton wins this by UD. In the words of Larry Merchant, Paulie Malignaggi "floats like a butterfly, stings like a butterfly", so I really can't see him backing Hatton off. Don't forget that he looked awful in his last fight as well, far worse than Hatton did. Combined with with the more technical approach Mayweather Sr has been teaching Hatton, he should have Malignaggi in his pocket.

Really depends whether he has properly learnt these new techniques.

I watched the weigh in yesterday Mali looked so much bigger than Ricky .... saying that the guys on SSN were saying Ricky would put 10-12lbs on before the fight .... mental how these guys blow up and blow down in size!!

Oh c'mon, he didn't look that bad, he the won the fight for christ sakes! I think he's got complacent after the Mayweather fight and that first step back into the ring, you're going to be nervous and it did show

This will go the distance for sure. Malignaggi lasted 12 rounds with Cotto, the man can take a punch

Hmm . . . I'm not into boxing but I guess Hatton will win?

Someone give me a ratio of chances.

Hatton comfortably for me. Malignaggi doesn't have the power to stop hatton and is no way near as good a boxer as someone like Mayweather, and so i think will struggle to hold Hatton off.

Hatton reputedly had a virus and missed nearly half of his training camp for his last fight and so i don't think is any reflection on how he'll fight tonight. Hatton will hopefully pulverise Malignaggi's body. I could even see it being stopped from body shots/a body shot a la the Castillo fight.

Malignaggi hasn't impressed me so far, i just can't help but feel he's over rated. We'll see.

My thoughts:

A bad beating handed out by the Hitman!! Paulie would have made the last bell but when he was pulle by his corner he was gone! They did well to get him out when they did!! Well done RICKY!!!!! bring on OSCAR!!

My thoughts.

As i thought generally. Although i was a little surprised that Hatton didn't throw as many body shots, although Malignaggi was holding all the time to stop Hatton from basically knocking him out after Hatton hurt him in the 1st round. Would have liked to see Hatton stop him later on, but Malignaggi's corner figured there was no hope or point of their fighter staying in there.

He's alright as a boxer, but as a person I think he's an utter twat!

Eh? Hatton's brilliant - a really, genuinely funny, totally down-to-earth guy. Are you a Rag, perchance?

I'm astounded at that - he's surely one of the most universally-liked sportsmen of the modern age. All the United fans I know love him, despite his oft-professed support of City.
