Ridge Racer is strawberry floating awful, I had 7 and I took it straight back after a day. Bloody rubbish.

Yeh pretty much this.

I'm not sure which ones I've played, but the ones I have on the PSX, PS2 and 360 have all be about the same as each other (ignoring texutres/models) Saying that, I'm not a great fan of games such as Outrun. Far too arcadey when cars go around corners boosting sideways. :lol:

The whole Riiiidge Racer thing just made it even more laughable in my book.

Looks good on iPhone though!!

Nothing against Ridge Racer but from those screens this looks pretty pants by iphone standards. Compare it to stuff like Real Racing NFS: Shift and F1 2009 and it looks like a PS1 game compared to PS2, really low res and lacking detail.. hopefully early shots and will improve over time/look better on a video.

I never liked RRT4. I felt it lost the purity of Revolution and to be honest I thought the soundtrack was rubbish compared to it.

The PSP games were ok, but were miles too easy until the later stages, and I had that same problem with RR6 and RR7.

I'd be interested to see what they do with another game. I'd like them to strip out some of the guff and go back to basics. It doesn't need a career mode or turbos.

I've still got a mint boxed copy of R4 complete with jogcon controller (which worked great with vrally 2) 8-)

Those iphone shots are a bit of a disservice, surely? Type 4 looked nowhere near as bad as that. One of the best arcade racers ever.
